  1. Anyone experienced or know of sites for annual stays on the Oregon Coast? Prefer Southern, but other considerations more important.
  2. Thanks that is what I thought was true; I appreciate the response.
  3. PS: I have never had any issues with taxes insurance most banks credit unions social security Medicare etc…
  4. So now that I’m 65 which I thought it would entitle me to request mail in TX ballots. Do I still have to designate a out of county address, for the ballot to be sent? Or just forwarded from my legal Exscapees address? Using TX as my domicile has been a blessing but outside of Polk county; especially voting, not so much. Even my main banking institution won’t add any accounts because of the address, and that issue has come up in other situations. Has anyone tried to fly since changing domicile; will the gold star on my driver license get me on a plane? Will my current passport with a different address help. Does anyone have a passport issued to a TX or any Exscapees domicile address? Thank you in advance.
  5. I know you consider that helpful. Thank you.
  6. Anybody recently purchased a RV out of state and registered in Polk county, TX? I remember from previous experience that they recognize other state taxes paid but not discretionary or local taxes. But I don’t recall paying the what is now .5% in addition to whatever may have been paid to another state, or another TX county, for that matter. It may explain why I was I bit off on my calculations 3 years ago. it was all rather painless; I’m just trying to avoid an unexpected bill. The dealer I’m talking with is saying it’s 6.75%, as an estimate.
  7. I would like to have a home base; but still travel for more than 30 days the usps will hold mail. Exscapees I don’t believe has that option like some other services? Can anyone suggest alternatives? Thanks
  8. Stay away from Thousand Trails unless inexpensive is most important; they are all under local control, with almost no amenities carried through from one to another, or level of service. The fees, and extra’s you pay for will vary greatly; from power, sites, mail/packages, WiFi etc... You can not count on anything; preserve, to preserve. Except a varying state of neglected mantinance. They all cater to a large population, of “seasonal/annual” sites; and their local buddies, who more often than not, do not follow the rules. It is especially disheartening to be a “See something Say something “ person, and be ignored. While the few of us that actually bought into it get treated like second class folks; for following the rules. Like actually staying in your site; and not using, a 50 amp site, in a restricted stay preserve, as your private storage lot. While the park is FULL. Or packing your Sh*# up late; then leaving for the day instead of vacating the site for others coming in...Oh ya mine for sale
