  1. Update: since the controller in this RV cannot handle AGM, I decided to go with 2 Interstate 6 volt batteries. they just fit in the under-step space.
  2. I called Winnebago. They told me to contact a dealer or an electrician. Dealer told me that the controller needs to be changed.
  3. Update. Just spoke to service manager at La Mesa RV, and was informed that the charging system in this Winnie will not charge gel /AGM batteries correctly. He recommended 2 6 volt Interstate batteries in series, instead of 2 12 volt in parallel.
  4. Replacing the two flooded cell batteries in my 2016 Navion 24J, after a year of full-timing. I haven't been very diligent in how i discharge/charge these batteries, and they are showing the signs of sulfating. thinking to go with either AGM or gel cell. I called Winnebago, but their tech guy told me to call an electrician. I think I will have better luck with this forum :) What i need to know is if the charging system in this vehicle can meet the specific needs of the AGM or gel cell, and is it worth the extra cost to go with the gel type battery? thanks Jack
