My suburban doesn't slide out the side of the RV. It only has two exhaust holes. It is removed from the interior face of the furnace. It could be less a pia to replace the whole box and furnace on my install. The brand Atwood does slide from the outside.

If you buy the same model, the internal furnace itself will fit into the sheet metal housing. You have to deal with wires and gas connections. But you would not have to change any duct work. I haven't seen a post recommending proper safety glasses when working around batteries. A short can cause flying slag. On some battery chemistry the whole thing can erupt. Play safe.

Glenn. I don't have 48 volts or LiFePo battery. I have six golf cart battery. Configured as three 12 volt battery. I have three negative 2/0 cables to one side of my 500 amp shunt. The other side goes to a bus bar. I have had this set for two years with no problem. I do six month maintenance including inspection and measuring voltage drop at each connection.
