  1. With the speed limit of 55mph for trucks here in Calif. I have gotten used to running 60mph. When I run other states with higher limits, I only run at 65. Much more than that and I feel myself tensing up, so I set the cruise and set back and enjoy the scenery.
  2. I finally looked into why the igniter wasn't lighting the burners on the stove. Found the igniter was faulty and the wires from it to the burners had cracks in the insulation on all 3 wires. Ordered new igniter and wires.
  3. My last toyhauler had a 1/2 bath. The one thing I did like about it was it had a second 40 gal black holding tank which gave us 80 gal total black water storage which was great for boondocking. If I didnt boondook as much as we do, I could have done without it.
  4. Does your controller have a lever on it so your can actuate the trailer brakes without the truck brakes? If so I would move the lever and check for voltage at the plug. If you get voltage when the lever is moved, then the problem would be between your truck brake system (elec or air) and controller or the controller itself.
  5. Good morning Chad. I may be interested in buying your used panels. You can DM me what you want for them. I live just south of Jackson CA. I just bought a different toy hauler and will be leaving the 1000 watts of solar on the toy hauler I'm selling, they were used when I installed them so not worth removing. .
  6. Dismounted and mounted many a tires with bars in my life. When this tool came out I bought one and told everyone that the guy that invented it should be a billionaire.
  7. Thanks for the response. I've been up in the high Sierra's (Eagle Meadows) for the last 3 days so no internet. I think this is all over me head. I picked up my router and pointed it at my hotspot, but nothing happened LOL. My nephew spent 20 yrs in the Military playing with computers so I'm going to take it over and let him play with it. Wish me luck........... Again thanks for the info and enjoy the retirement.
  8. Thanks Chad for the reply. After I sent the post and didnt get a reply I looked at your profile and noticed your retirement clicker showed you had retired. So I thought you were out enjoying retirement. Retirement is great, just got back from 5 wks in Utah myself. I have not gotten the router hooked up yet. Problem I have is it says to link up to my router thru the wireless internet connection and then go to my browser to continue, but when I link to the router I lose internet connection and cant continue. Its got to be something simple I'm missing, but with my lack of computer knowledge its not easy for me. Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again
  9. This has me thinking. I've got an area under my truck that I could hang a 150 gal tank . Then install a 12v air pump to keep to pressurized to 40 to 60 psi and run hose to 5th wheel.
  10. Every time I've encountered this, it was wheels out of balance. Have them balanced and it should go away. I dont know what brand of the 10 yr old tires that were on 2001 Volvo 660 when I got it, I put a set of used Michelins on and dont remember any wandering with them. I put a set of Sailums on it and played with the pressures from 80 to 110 psi and it still wanders all over the road.
  11. Thanks for the reply Dutch. I do see a small plug on the side under a cover on the Mobley, I assume its a mini USB port. I see a reg sized USB port on the front of the router, I wonder if I connect the two it would work? Sorry for the lack of knowledge, but my computer skills are limited...
  12. I was under the impression that it did it wireless, because I don't think you can hardwire anything to the Mobley. Does anyone know if that is true? I would sure like to get this working because I've maxed out the 5 devices and would like to add more. So if there is anyone out there that could instruct be on how to use this "Linksys EA6350 wifi router" with the Mobley I would sure appreciate it. Thanks
  13. Chad, I picked up a Linksys EA6350 wifi router and was wondering if you could guide me on how to connect it to the Mobley wifi. "my computer skills are very limited". Thanks
  14. The only manual I have now days is my dune buggy. I do like to take it to town once in awhile. As for the HDT I have the 3 peddle autoshift and like it. Done enough shifting of trucks thru my career to last me awhile. I have caught myself manually shifting up and down the hills, it just doesn't shift to my liking going up and I will put in HOLD and shift it manually going down hill.
  15. I think if you around goat heads you will get a flat with any tire, but yes with the wider tires you have twice the contact on the ground. That's good advice on knowing how to remove the tires on the trail. I have saddle bags on my Rad Rover and carry tools and spare tubes.
  16. Be cautious of cheap Ebikes for sale with no battery. Most likely they are stolen, because if it had a bad battery they would usually still have it. I've had my Rad Rover for a yr now and really like it.
  17. Hollywood makes racks for Ebikes. Not cheap, and I've heard they take a while to get them. Amazon.com : KAC Overdrive Sports K2 2” Hitch Mounted Rack 2-Bike Platform Style Carrier for Standard, Fat Tire, and Electric Bicycles – 60 lbs/Bike Heavy Weight Capacity – Smart Tilting – RV Use Prohibited : Sports & Outdoors
  18. CoPilot used to have lane notification, but now I it doesn't. I wonder why they stopped it.
  19. Thanks again for the info. I was thinking the same, unload the Smart and drive over to Jug Hollow to see if we should go there. I would rather boondock then be in any campground. Should get there today, we are in Wendover Nv now.
  20. I have 1 1/2 baths in the 5er and (2) 320s. One started to leak between the two sections (you cannot take apart to repair) and the other has a weak spring (no parts available) Mine are 10 yrs old I think the newer ones you can replace the springs, not sure about that.
  21. Thanks Brad for all the info. After checking out the Jug Hollow Rd camping area on google earth I seen there was a campground across the lake ran by the Forest Service. Part is reservations and part first come first serve. I'm thinking about checking that out. I'm coming from the west and looks like I can go in thru Manila Ut.
  22. When a driver would call me with a flat tire, I would ask him how much of a load he had in the trailer. Any time he had a half a load or less I would have a road service single it out and replace it when he got back to the shop. I always thought if I ever get a tandem to pull my 5th wheel I would single all the tires and have a way to shut off the air to each air bag. So that way if I got a flat I could shut of the air to the bag and remove the tire and chain up the axle on that side and drive it to a shop to replace the tire.
