  1. " So the first thing I did was check the 12 vdc batteries for state of charge.12.6. Unit is plugged in. Or so we think it is. So I say turn the furnace on. Furnace blower comes on the cycles off. Voltage dropped too low for furnace to operate.??? Motorhome is plugged in to shore power." Why would the furnace draw down the batteries so much????
  2. I bought one of the Chinese knock offs on Amazon for my work shop. Its the portable one with the built-in fuel tank. Think I paid a $150 for it. My small shop is 14x24 and heats it very well. I fire it up and turn it off about 30 minutes later and the shop is nice and toasty,
  3. I dont know much about hwy 49 around Nevada City, I live south off hwy 49 around Jackson CA. If you need any info for areas around here let me know.
  4. I don't like to unhook if I don't have to, especially for a quick overnighter. I usually drop my bags and find a level spot. Your picture got me thinking how I could have a drop leg on the back to hold the truck level if it was too low. Then I thought I would probably forget it and drive off, that wouldn't be good. Then I thought how about an air cylinder plumbed into the brake system, so when I released the brakes with the help of a spring it would raise the cylinder automatically. Hmmmm, now I got to think if it would be worth the work.................
  5. Ordered these and received them yesterday. Hope to install today. It will be nice not to have to hold up the door with my head to get into jockey box.
  6. Does anyone know if these will fit a 2001 Volvo Jockey boy doors.
  7. I did forget, I'll put it on my list.
  8. Great info from all the posters. I'm planning a trip to Marysville WA and would also like to go to the 3 National Parks so I can mark them off my list.
  9. I hooked up the Cerbo yesterday and somehow messed up the starlink that i connected to. Guess I'll be looking into this today in between my Nascar duties here in Vegas.
  10. I often wondered if I could hook my trailer into an automatic transfer switch and plug it into my house and use the power generated from my rv solar/inverter to power a subpanel in my house to run the circuits that I now power up when the power is out, and I use my back up generater.
  11. Very impressive setup. Thanks for the writeup on your system and all the help you have given to me and others on our setups. I will be asking for some assistance in a few days on a system I'm installing for a friend, I'm not sure of the settings for the various components. I will be installing a Cerbo so I'm wondering if you could log into it thru VRM and do the setting thru there? Again thanks for your expertise.
  12. I too went with the Sailun tires. I went with open shoulders on the drive hoping to get more traction, how much more I don't know. I am singled on the rear, and it will get stuck on wet grass with or without open shoulders.
  13. This video is miss leading. He is telling you that you have to be tested no matter where the vehicle is registered in the US, but what he has highlighted it says, "No matter where it is registered in "CALIFORNIA". I believe it was at the 4:14 mark in the video. For me it's not going to matter because I live in Calif. and I'll have to have mine tested even though I live in a county that does not require testing for my other cars.
  14. He said he was told it couldnt be done in Arizona. He said he had ties to Nevada and I told him I thought he could reg. it as a private truck there.
  15. I was asked the other day if a truck could be registered in Arizona, noncommercial to pull an RV trailer. I didn't know so I thought I would ask here. So, has anyone done it or know what it takes to register one in Arizona?
  16. I agree with Chad on the BMV 712. Chad installed my solar with the Victron controller and I added the shunt and display later. I use the app to monitor my batteries and my solar. I'm able to see the history of how much solar I have harvested.
  17. You will need to add a little more info to your statement (what I need to keep my house batteries up). Thats like asking how far I can go on a tank of gas............
  18. I use a Mr Buddy heater that I plumbed into our propane system. Never use while we are sleeping. If its going to be very cold at night I will set the thermostat on the furnace to come on at 50 degrees. Then as stated by others I'll get up in the morning and start the Mr Buddy and go back to bed and wait for it to warm up.
  19. We are in Moab UT. Got here on Saturday and plan to spend a couple weeks before heading to Mesa Verde NP and then to Las Vegas for the Nascar race the middle of Oct.
  20. Fill up with fuel in Carson City, it will be at least a $1.00 a gallon more in California.

    Air system

!30 lbs is normal. Dont be surprised if you notice that both tanks aren't the same pressures, that is OK too. They have a double check valve between them.
  22. Sorry no info on the Voltage toyhauler. I would say check the tires dates. I bought a 2014 toyhauler 6 months ago and it had the original tires pushing 8 yrs. They were Sailun 16ply or maybe 14ply dont remember. I do like Sailun tires (have 6 on the truck) but after their recall they have increased in price. Looking at the TransEagle 14 ply, can get them for $60 less a tire. Oh, back to your original post, nice looking toyhauler.
