  1. Most of the RVers that fulltime that I have met over the past 8 years are the same party. Like 90-95%.
  2. Imagine the batteries a class A could carry. Put air ride on all other campers (C’s and 5vers) and then it gets really interesting.
  3. I have not noticed any difference with 5g. If what you have works off of 4g, I would keep it.
  4. If you want two vehicles, your class C and your Toyota pick up you’re going to have two engines to maintain, register and insure. No way around it legally. I travel with my Ram 3500 TD DRW and a Mazda 3. Makes traveling easier as I can have the Mazda block for me if needed. Plus when parked I get twice the fuel millage. Also if one breaks down, I have something else to drive. The benefits far outweigh negatives.
  5. Holly chit! So glad that you weren’t hurt.
  6. WOW! I was not aware that they made a travel trailer.
  7. Just an update Update Regarding Recent South Dakota Legislation Escapees RV Club has a long history of advocating on behalf of RVers to fight against detrimental laws and unfair regulations. Escapees also aims to inform RVers about legislation that may impact the RV lifestyle and the freedoms we enjoy. We recently reached out to you regarding proposed House Bill 1232 and proposed Senate Bill 124, both of which would affect RVers' right to vote. Senate Bill 124 and House Bill 1232 are Dead! We are happy to announce that the South Dakota Senate State Affairs Committee and the South Dakota House State of Affairs Committee voted to defer SB 124 and HB 1232 to the "41st legislative day." Since there cannot be more than 40 legislative days in a session, this is a simple way to kill a bill. Special thanks to Escapees members who contacted their representatives opposing these bills, and to Senator Castleberry for reaching out via email over the holiday weekend to confirm that the bills are dead. -Jim Koca, Escapees Advocacy Director
  8. That’s good news. That means more chips for EVs and ordinance to help Ukraine.
  9. I just noticed I probably emailed you. 🤣🤣 Do you own lot 26? Do owners update the calendar if it is rented or not? As there are 15 current lots open for next Winter right now. Including yours. 😉
  10. Don’t give yourself a headache that you don’t need. Pick one that suites your needs. Contact 3 dealers with what you want (a specific list) and have them give you a price. A good deal is a state of mind. You could have stolen the rig, but if your mind thinks you got screwed, then that’s how you’re going to feel. Read a crap load, research and go look at units on lots. Understand the build differences. As some people value things differently. If there was one clear winner, there would only be one manufacture making RVs. I spent 2 years reading and researching before I bought my rig for fulltime. I will spend more for better materials and build quality.
  11. Google the geo method. It does a great job.
  12. I would bet a lot of Mom and Pop campgrounds do this more because they enjoy being around people and hospitality. If it pays their bills and makes a nest egg, they are happy. Not all campgrounds are greedy corporations. Even though they are buying them up. Back to the topic of this post, suggestions of Florida campgrounds.
  13. I use that resource and have posted to it for 7 years. More than 42000 people have liked my posts. Sometimes I don’t post about a jewel that I have found as I don’t want the word to get out. But there are thousands of campgrounds in Florida. I tried to make my field of research narrower. I’m investigating every campground suggested. What they offer, the cost of them, the activities, proximity to stores and other business, cell signal strengths, OTA tv and monthly temp and precipitation tables for starters. I’m planning on wintering there for 4 months, so I want it to get it right. I don’t mind spending more money for things that offer more. I have spent $2200 a month at one place. I way the value in my head and even go with my gut. If you have nothing to contribute to a question is fine, that is what a community is about. We have people from all different walks of life here. And not saying that you don’t have vast knowledge about camping.
  14. Thanks, I understand business fundamentals. I also have seen lots of spaces open in places. Empty lots don’t bring in income either. It’s a balancing act. If I owned an RV park I would rather be a little cheaper, stay full and build a waiting list.
  15. I have not mentioned a price range, but yet several what looks like good suggestions have been posted. Try not to take this the wrong way, you have not posted one suggestion, but you seem to like to ridicule people who are trying to be helpful. You don’t have to post in every post. It’s almost to the point that people don’t want to post up questions or try to be helpful.
  16. Many thanks for all of your insight, it is truly helpful.
  17. Kirk, reasonable price is an internal judgement call. I thought the intent of my post was pretty clear. Am I wrong? But when you really look at what a campground offers and how neighboring campgrounds compare, you get a sense of what is reasonable. Maybe it’s my brain that can spot a value for what you get. Honestly I’m not really sure why you posted this. As an owner there are MANY factors that go into pricing. If they are smart, they would look at what is around them and price based apron what they offer. But that is something they have to decide to do.
  18. The outer perimeter sites are there larger sites. $1000 monthly turns into $1500. Larger Lot: 150% of rate
  19. Looks like a nice place. Thanks for the suggestion.
