  1. Could anyone recommend a lightweight portable air compressor for pumping up my tires? I need one that isn’t to heavy and that tells how much air I have in the tires. Thanks in advance for any suggestions. Maggie
  2. Good points. Thank you and I’m adding to my list.
  3. I’m looking for info on how much solar to put on a 27ft Class C to maintain a comfortable lifestyle while boondocking. Also, I will be traveling to Yuma in the fall. Could anyone recommend a good reliable solar installation person? Thanks in advance for any information you can send my way. Maggie
  4. Thanks Tom. I located a man down in Arizona and I’ll meet with him next fall. I will save your numbers to share with him. Thanks again, Maggie
  5. Thanks Chip. Great info and I appreciate your putting this info together.

  7. I contacted AM Solar and received a bid of 7500.00 for 340 W and the batteries, inverter etc. seems high to me but I am still getting quotes and want to go to a reputable person. Thanks for your suggestions.
  8. Thanks. I tried to post that info but people are staying on the 1000. My mistake. Sorry.
  9. Thanks so much for the info. Sounds like you are having a good time. 😊
  10. It is a 100w . I misunderstood the lady at the RV place. Sorry
  11. People like me are fortunate to have people like you on this forum.
  12. Great info and thanks again. You are very knowledgeable!
  13. This generator is a 4000 Onan built in to the side of the RV. It’s a bit noisy. Also, I’ve seen some solar panels that tilt. Is that important? I have a ton of research I need to do on this topic but I sure appreciate your information. Thanks so much, Maggie
  14. You are correct. She meant 100w. I do have a generator and would use it occasionally but most of the boondockers seem to frown on Generator use so I need to stay on their good side. 😊 I would like to run my heater or fans and lights without any worries.
  15. Thanks so much for the info. I called the RV place back and she meant 100 watt.
  16. Could you folks that Boondock help me out here? I have a 27 foot class C and the RV place here in Sacramento told me that 1000 W panel would be enough to run my RV. I have 2 6V deep cell batteries and they also said the batteries would be enough to run the solar panel. Solar is new to me so I would appreciate any and all information you might have to share. Thanks so much, Maggie
  17. Awesome! It sounds like we are exactly the same place. Enjoy your journey and have fun in PA with your parents. Is the weather nice in GA in the winter? What area is the best for full-timers?
  18. Things are moving a bit faster than I anticipated but it's working out fine. I thought I would be full-timing in July but my house sold fast and my girls and I are now living in our RV in a local RV park until July 1st. It has actually worked out to our benefit as the work the local RV service department (CW) did on my Blue Ox setup turned out to be quite an ordeal. I am still working with that company to get issues resolved, but that's another story.... I started out with what I thought were the necessary items to keep in the RV, but over the last two weeks I've realized most of the necessary things aren't necessary and take up valuable space. I sold every thing I own and the remains of 50 years of accumulation are now inside a 26ft RV. It's amazing to see the results of the things I thought I needed be eliminated on a daily basis. I still have a ways to go in the next few months. but I can see progress. This is an exciting part of my journey and it's nice to read where other folks are at in this Class of 2016.
