  1. I did get ahold of someone in Goodrich and they only allow General Delivery for 30 days. I will start there and change if needed once I get in town after the 30 days.
  2. Hello Can I forward mail from my Seattle area to General Delivery Livingston 77351 without prior arrangement or paperwork with them? I will be in Livingston for a couple of months. I have had general delivery to the post office in the past for the few pieces of mail i get. No one answers the phone at the post office. I want to make sure nothing has changed. Some areas I have been you need to fill out paperwork. Thank you
  3. I was hoping to get an advance notice of changes that may be occuring in the coming year. I see the magazine does not match what is currently on some of the Coop web sites. Our park is looking at making some changes to our rates. Our rates are about half of the local area and we are having an increase in expenses. I don't believe most parks do first in first out anymore.
  4. For those of you in Escapee Parks in the peak seasons, can you provide information on rates during that time. With the costs of operating a park increasing, are rates in the peak season months going up or are monthly rentals not offered during this time period. I am not sure the information in the Escapee magazine is complete or updated for the coming year. Thank you
  5. I still have not updated windows from 10 to 11. I am about to backup everything and next time it asks me to do this to go ahead. Any reason I should or should not upgrade? It looks like 11 is about to have updates too now so maybe I should not keep putting it off.
  6. Thank you. I did not see an article from FMCA just an email giving an FMCA discount. Some plans in the past have excluded COVID. Nice to see this is a current article. Safe travels
  7. I see FMCA sent out information on a group called MedJet that also covers transport if you have COVID internationally. This might be a good investment. Anyone have experience with them?
  8. I am on Medicare and have a supplement. Does the travel insurance provided by the cruise line provide adequate coverage if you would have a medical issue while traveling in Panama or the Mediterranean? I do not have any chronic issues but have had hip replacement this past year. Thank you Teri
  9. My disconnected smart tracfone is still working for email and facebook on Mobley eventhough I transferred to a new phone. Transferred my minutes to a reconditioned flip phone they sent me for free. I still have another flip phone I use for incoming calls that will be going later in the year with 3G shutdown. I will merge minutes on those.
  10. My not so smart phone today will no longer work for calls but I am able to connect to my Mobley and get emails and facebook etc. I assume if I cancel this phone and transfer my minutes to my other phone I will not be able to turn my phone on to connect to Mobley. Is that correct? This is a tracfone.
  11. This report is from the mobileinternetinfo group At this point we have not seen any reports of the Mobley not working after the 3G shutdown date. Additionally, we discovered that AT&T lists the Mobley as a "certified" IoT device in a different database which does suggest that the Mobley will continue to work without 3G. We will continue to monitor for any reports of issues with the Mobley and provide updates as we receive them.
  12. Mine still works but my 3G phone which is definitely on the list to go down is still working too. May take awhile to roll it all out I am guessing.
  13. Today is supposed to start the shutdown. I don't see any messages when I go into wifi manager other than they were happy to take my payment. We will see what happens.
  14. Check out Aransas Wildlife Refuge on the coast in Texas. They have a visitor center and many outside positions when I volunteered their. They also have a nice building for volunteers with shower, kitchen and TV area
  15. I have heard of people looking at land like this in other states that are getting bought up quickly and something about multiple sites along an I75 corridor but do not know any names.
  16. RVers are buying land like this and then putting in basic services to share among other RVers and possible trading with other land owners in other places like this.https://rvlifestyle.com/own-rv-land/#Now_that_we_own_RV_Land_heres_how_we_plan_to_use_it
  17. The land exchange that I keep hearing about is less of an organized campground and more acreage that the landowner decides to put in electric or other amenities themselves with no HOA restrictions. Tennessee Land and Lakes is one example.
  18. Anything new to report on this new Escapee project? With so many people looking at buying their own lots with the shortage of available reservations at campgrounds, I have heard talk in one of the facebook group of trying to put together a network where people that have lots exchanging lots among themselves to enhance travel. Although lots are hard to find as well to purchase. I would have loved to see this as an option among Coop parks but I know these are individual parks and not a network to exchange from one leaseholder in one park to another park although people do put their lots in a rental pool.
  19. You might want to check out two places that I have volunteered in the winter months. Aransas Wildlife Refuge in Texas and the visitor center at Table Rock Dam with Army Corp of Engineers in Branson MO. It is harder to find opportunities in the winter since there are fewer places open in the northern states that drives folks south. Branson can be cold and icy in the winter. The Care Center at the Escapee Park in Livingston also looks for volunteers.
  20. Foremost offers true full timers policies but it is not cheap. Progressive would not insure me in WA without owning another vehicle or motorized item like a golf cart or motorcycle
  21. Roadtrekchapter.org is a good site to start looking. I believe you have to be a member to access the site Rosita mentioned I have a Roadtrek but live in WA. There is a Regional VP that does Rallies in TX
  22. I went on Medicare last year and found the videos from Boomer Benefits very helpful. I have worked in healthcare all my life and still learned a few things I did not know. One thing I also learned this year is that if you have an HSA account, you cannot use that to pay for a supplement. I have a high deductible G plan which is a low premium and it worked out better for me since the medical expenses before I reach my high deductible can be paid from my HSA account.
  23. You might want to find the nonprofits in the area you want to be or state parks and call around. Not everyone would have RV parking but you never know what might pop up.
  24. I have a lot in an Escapee Coop Park and there is a clubhouse with WIFI available. There is really no private area to setup to work but I was able to setup a workspace in my shed as a leaseholder. However when school started I could not hold a connection long enough for internet phone calls.
  25. I live in a B fulltime. Researching options with more space. It has been a confining year with COVID. I have found some TT plans with no dinette.
