  1. I have considered one of them but only a manual one and a much shorter one to put on one slide-out. Shouldn't be too heavy because would only be about 6 feet.
  2. Same here PLUS I use one of our regular credit cards which gives me 10% off ALL service stations, restaurants, and grocery stores and play it off when billed.
  3. "Whatever happened to the tripod and dish pointing" was written by the OP. Sounds to me like tripod & manual dish is what he wants. He also says he's "confused" not physically/mentally challenged.
  4. For 11 years 9 of which are full time I have used the Dish Network 1000.2 HD dish mounted on a surveyor's tripod using the mounting kit from tv4rv.com. I use both EA & WA Hybrid lnb depending on which is needed due to obstacles and this dish setup is feeding a Hopper3 receiver. I also carry 250 feet of RG6 if it's necessary to get out a bit from the RV. I don't use any type of meter but do use SatFinder Lite just to take a peek when necessary. My normal setup time is about 10 minutes (15 if lnb change required). I am happy with this method and highly doubt I will go with one of the auto type.
  5. I took the thread seriously but still agree with both responses.
  6. Have you thought about getting a V tailgate? I like mine.
  7. I have the Hopper3 and it will record up to 16 shows at once with build-in DVR. I can't even begin to imagine using all 16 at once but at least for now I NEVER have a recording conflict like I did with the VIP722.
  8. There are only 2 people I would loan my RV to. One is my son who knows as much as I do about them and would treat it like I do. The other is God because it is really His after all.
  9. Likely the windshield leaking and should be covered under the FORD warranty.
  10. Unless your CG has a specific published rule against it "go for it". It's easier to get forgiveness than permission.
  11. It's amazing how many people I have watched through my tinted windows knowing they can't see me. MANY will allow their pet do it's business then look around to see if anybody saw it then just walk away. Picking up after your pet is simply a part of being a responsible pet owner just like seeing that they are properly fed and protected.
  12. I have never had a problem with my 2012 F350 filling it at any pump I chose to include truck islands but as others have stated watch the rate of flow.
  13. I have never owned one but also have NEVER heard anything bad about them.
  14. Actually they will if it's their equipment and the problem can't be handled by phone AND you get a "retention specialist" involved. They don't like to send out empty return boxes. Of course results could vary depending on your location.
  15. About 3 years ago I bought/installed a 40 gal DeeZee tank in my 2012 Ford F350 SRW. I bought it from Amazon for $425 and installed it as a gravity feed and it works great and takes up very little of my bed space. I don't feel the need for more than 40 gal extra fuel and the weight that more would add. I would not hesitate to buy a DeeZee product again. I checked Amazon and it is still available for $445 w/free shipping. Was wrong about capacity. It's 39 gal not 40.
  16. Replace the junk Thetford with a Dometic Model 320 w/sprayer. It has an elongated bowl with a residential style rim. I have done this on our lat 2 5th wheels and wouldn't have it any other way. Cost around $200.00 if you do the very easy switch yourself depending on where you buy. Got my last one from pplmotorhomes.com. tweets.com is also good.
  17. The app won't allow me to change either BUT the CHATT feature takes only about 10 minutes for the change from start to finish which is fine to me.
  18. But THEIR little "Baby" is special!
  19. If people "have a tendency to shy away from them" why is there a waiting list to get one?
  20. TFL requires you to have the Plan A & B coverage and then TFL is SECONDARY and pays after them. I recently went through Chemo and Radiation treatments and was totally covered.
  21. Actually "running your hands over the tread" doesn't tell much of anything about a tire's condition. Most blow outs occur on the sidewall not the face.
