Hi guys, I have started to get a 'NO DATA' error on the DID and a picture of the rear end and a thermometer. I assume this is the rear end temp. I have crawled under there and can find no broken wires or anything that does not look good. I pulled the plug and reset it on the sensor and I still am getting the error. There is nothing in the diagnostics and no number displayed. I'm making the assumption that the sensor has quit. (in the past this has flashed on and then gone away. Now it keeps coming on and going away every few seconds). So the question. Is there a way to test the sensor before getting a new one? Brad

Glenn, I would try to pull from the back if you can get hooked on. Do not attach the strap at the base of the tree but about 1/2 way up so it tips over. Also use as much strap or chain as you can. Take a short roll and let the weight of the truck pull the trees not the clutch. I pulled trees like you describe with my Dakota pick up and that was a LOT smaller than your Freight liner. I would be a tad leery about pulling them from the front in case something broke and you had flying pieces and parts of tree or chain or whatever else may be out there.

Bob, I think Phil pretty much has the right idea for you since you are not singled. My Volvo is singled and we never touched the length of the frame. This gave enough room behind the rear tires for another full size box. We put a tunnel between the back boxes and the ramps are inside that.

I use it and always from my laptop. I don't do Facebook or any other social media.

Dennis I only did one side of mine and will not tackle the other side unless it fails.

Yippee. We are registered and will be in about the 8th.

It stopped raining so I tackled it. I followed the steps in the video and everything worked just like he showed except with the bed there is not enough room for the reciprocating saw BUT 2 minutes with a hacksaw blade and the end of the bag came off. The top part of the bag screwed right out like it should. The job is done and I DID NOT BLEED at all. Plus I only used Damn it 3 times and sum bitch twice. I quite pleased and I'm now having a beer or 3. 😁

Guess what. It is raining so I don't have to do it today.

Had time to look at the video and it is one I already watched. Thank you. I like his tip for just cutting off the bottom of the old bag to save the star washer. that is what I'm going to do. time to give the threads another shot. I started doing that 3 days ago. Tomorrow is the day unless it decides to rain on us. And I doubt that will happen.

I have not had a chance to watch the video yet but I have watched 4 others on youtube. I will watch it soon. I have the parts but the truck is at the paint shop for a couple of days getting a small spot repaired and then I'll tackle it. Bought 2 bags so I will see how much I bleed on the first one before deciding to change the 2nd one before failure.

Turns out the part number is 21165207 according to the Volvo dealer. Will order 2 and start replacement soon. If I get them replaced and don't lose much blood it will be a success. Stay tuned.

Good Morning, I will start by admitting that I have not looked at the resource guide YET but I'm on my way. I was hoping that someone would have the proper part number handy. I also know that Rocky has changed them before so maybe he will come install it for me. Brad

I agree with Suite. I did mine the same way.

Mine was already a motor home in Michigan when I moved to Texas. I found it was easy to do in Michigan and when I went to Texas they did not even look at the truck they just transferred it. They know how to do this stuff in Livingston (Polk county).

Good Morning, I'm am missing a couple of the buttons (I guess that is what you would call them) that cover the screw holes on top of the Volvo. I believe the screws would hold the air dam if there was one (or if there was ever one up there). There are 15 of them. The Volvo is a 2004 630. The Volvo dealer in Hartford, CT. has not been any help at all. He says they are not even listed in the parts breakdown and he has to go through service bulletins to find anything. It has been 2 weeks now. We want to get some so they can be painted while the 5er is in the shop out here having the paint repaired. Does anyone have a proper name or a part # or a source for the part? Thanks Brad

On my Volvo the cruise stopped working and it turned out to need a brake pedal adjustment. Until then I used a small bungee to hold the pedal a bit higher and the cruise worked fine.

When my cruise would not stay engaged it was a switch on the brake pedal. A bump would cause the pedal to move enough to disengage. I used a small bungie cord to hold the pedal up a bit higher and the problem stopped. They adjusted (or replayed I don't remember) and that corrected my problem.

I remember the days when they broke stuff faster than I could fix it. Remember a week straight that I did not get to the field because more things broke before I could get out of the shop.
