  1. We bought a brand new top of the line Jeep Rubicon 6 mos ago, two door, black with red trim, leather, thinking we would tow it behind a class A or C...now we have decided we want a diesel truck/4x4/fifth wheel combo instead. We paid $41,000, it has about 10,000 miles on it...no smoking or pets...we would consider older combo if well maintained...something with a value in the $35,000-$50,000 range. We are 60 and 62...very serious, and live in Florida, about an hour south of Jacksonville...what do you got? Thanks...Ellen and Mario ebendana@yahoo.com
  2. Well we are enjoying our new rig, and have decided since we are going to be selling the house we still want a "safety" home base, so we are buying a 1.45 RV lot in the Blue Ridge mountains....its gated and safe, and we figure if down the road we want an exit plan we can either sell the lot or build a house on it.....we can also put a nice big insulated ahed to store some of our stuff......we are so happy with the goosneck and even though we opted for no slide outs, the rig feels solid! If anyone interested in spending time on our lot when we are not there, let us know! Taking a two week vacation at the end of the month, keeping , my eye on the date of July 16 2014,
  3. Not sure how to, send me your email and I can send them directly! Mine is EBendana@yahoo.com, and price slashed...

  4. We also have the eye on the prize...target retirement date is July 16, 2014. We've started the downsizing...sold our big home and bought a DW mobile home in a 55+ community...this will be our home base. Selling our current small toyhauler so we can start saving big for our class A toyhauler...we plan to keep our home as a homebase and travel about 6 mos out of the year to start. Anyone have any comments good or bad about the class A toyhaulers? our other thought is to just get a 30 ft class A and put a hydrolic motorcycle lift on the back and tow a jeep...all feedback appreciated!
  5. Will you post some pictures in the future?

  6. we are closing on our double wide on Tuesday, and dreaming of all the trips we will be taking. for now, we are getting used to local trips, its a bit tricky loading the motor cycle in the toyhauler (it is a side/front loader) but well work we need to get all the small bills paid by end of year then start living on half of what we make for the next three years to build up some extra cash reserves, then we figure if everything is paid for we can live on pension and savings and let the 401K money grow another few years will 59 and half. I'm very grateful that we have a company pension and health benefits too
  7. We are also looking to 2014 as our target date...I can see my July 16, 2014 date as my last day of work. We areputt ing out the things we dont need from the house, we are moving into a smaller home in a retirement community and we just downsized our 38 ft travel trailer for a 28 foot toyhauler...we have our RV lot for sale, since our new community allows us to store an RV for $30 per month. We figure we will start off about 6 mos per year in our camper, and since our new home is a manufactured home, we hope to keep that as a home base. We are trying to pay off any debts and save as much cash as we can....its funny how excited we can get when we put it all together!
