  1. Jim and Val, We had to cut short our stay in west SD and didn't get a chance to get up to Rapid City for a visit. We will catch you in Wichita hopefully!! Roger & Susan
  2. Well Suz and I are on the road for a few weeks after being stuck in FL for a LONG TIME!!! Right now we are in north AL and are heading to Howe, IN to the Doubletree factory for some work and to visit the youngest kid in Indianapolis. Then we head west to do some work in IL, IA, MN and then SD. We should be in Custer by the end of May and hope to harass Mike and Pat into some serious hiking!!f Maybe some fishing too!!! In the meantime, at "Roger's Roost" in Monticello, Ray and Selma are RVport sitting and holding the garden down. Anybody out there in the area?? On the road again..........YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  3. We are still camped in Monticello, FL on our land and are deciding what size/type of house to build. We still have one open 50amp and one 30 amp plug for anyone that wants to stop by. It's an easy in/out from I-10 on the north side of Monticello just off US 19. Stop and say hi. We can fire up the grill and shoot the bull and some critters! Roger & Susan
  4. Susan and I are still camped at the land in Monticello, FL (20 miles east of Tallahassee) for the next few months. May be building a house soon. We now have the capability of parking at least 3 big rigs as we have two 50 amp and one 30 amp hook-up. Also water and sewer. Easy in and out, about 7 miles north of I-10 on the north side of Monticello, near US 19 North. Anyone passing through needing an overnight (or so?) stop at the right price, give us a call. 256 603-6026 (still have the AL cell phone).
  5. It HAS been a happy birthday....we hooked up and went truckin! Can't wait until our trails cross again! Love, Suz
  6. We're still parked in Tallahassee, Florida but had a great visit with Rick and Claire (PSD Tweaker) yesterday where they are camped at St. George State Park on the Gulf of Mexico. Rick has masterfully parked his rig in a rather small but nice spot but has to move across the street to accomodate another camper who can't maneuver as swell as Rick. Claire did a wonderful job as hostess and served a great lunch of grilled shrimp (grilling by Rick), fantastic salad, French wine, Espresso, birthday cookies (for me) and Rick topped it off with a great cigar. Of course one of those Canadian beers was great too. Since we were on the Harley, I only had one. Thanks Rick and Claire!
  7. Davena, Thanks for the calendar! It IS great!! Your check is in the mail..... Susan :-D
  8. Dave, ya got a deal!! I'll holler at you for a visitin January/Feb. Shoot straight!! Rog
  9. Hey Dave and Bev, we might get to see you in Orangeburg as that is one of our old stomping grounds. We are at the Tallahassee RV Park for the next several months enjoying some good motocycle riding weather and visiting family. We will be taking a short trip to the Doubletree factory in Howe, IN from about 13-23 December. We're not looking forward to that experience but have to go when they can get us in for some warranty issues. The trip up will take us via Tunica and Memphis for a little work then on up to Howe. Roger & Susan
  10. Hi gals! It was harder to drive up the courage to post this than to operate our Volvo...by the way, this is Susan (cruisin' with JRoger) Haddix. Can't wait to get a calendar! We're in Tallahassee for the winter...welcome travelers! Hope all have a safe and estrogentle holiday. Susan Haddix (Cruisin' Susan)
  11. Well, Suz and I had to go to Columbus, OH for a family wedding and then back out west for more work and pheasant hunting. We are currently in Mitchel, SD where the nights have gotten down to 22 degrees. While here we've had to fix the gas furnace, some plumbing issues and put up with a total of 3 TV stations becaue our Winegard system went bonkers too!!! Otherwise, Mitchel is a nice town and we will head a little north for the pheasant hunt on Saturday, then south for some warm weather!! In case I missed a chance........Wichita was the best and Jim and Val deserve a great big round of applause. We will see y'al somewhere!!!!!!!!
  12. Update: We are currently in Tallahassee trying to relocate Sue's mother. Then July 11th we'll be in north AL closing on the house sale, then to the dealer in Huntsville for some warranty work then back to Tally for doctor and family stuff. Hopefully we will be able to head west sometime in August. It looks like we'll miss Sturgis. The HDT rally in Wichita is still in the plans. BTW, it's hotter than hades here!! Mike/Pat, Kevin at TRV is looking forward to you guys getting here this fall. He has a LOT of work planned!!
  13. Hang in there RW, may God be with you and Alice during this bump in the road!!
  14. Congratulations Henry and Cindy!!!! Hope to see you y'all in a few weeks.
  15. Tweren't us, Bob!!! We are still in Tallahassee!!
  16. David, I have pics on my webshots album under the Ural Motorcycle album. They should be the ones with the "Wichita2" label. I have pretty well figured out how to use the large ramp with the Rampage loader so that all goes well. This system is more terrain sensitive than just ramps. Still a lot of work with all the tie downs for the bike and ramp. I thought about going back to just ramps and my old winch but Santa and I are talking about a new Harley. Nothing wrong with the Ural, but as I have said, it is not a "road trip" bike. As for the Rally. Since we want to see Alaska next summer, I don't think we'll be close enough to make the East Coast Rally. If Alaska plans change for some reason, well then.....probably. BTW, we leave for Huntsville, AL Friday for a few days to take care of some doctor appts and to get Mobette serviced at the original dealer. Be there until about the 10th of December, then back to Tally.
  17. Suz and I are hanging out in Tallahassee for a few weeks. Still waiting to get our front hydraulic stableizers on Mobette fixed by a dealer in Lake City. May have to stay in #3 son's sticks and bricks place. We spent last Wed with Mike and Pat McFall who are parked at the Tally RV park just down the road. We smoked a whole hog for everyone's huge appetite. If anyone is traveling across I-10 in this area give us a shout. Cell is 256 603-6026. Roger, out.
  18. We are in SD and will be in the area of Spearfish, Stugis and Deadwood for a few days more before heading to Tulare for some pheasants. The weather here has been great for motorcycling through the Black Hills. Late next week we will head to ND for a couple of days, weather permitting then head east through IA and IN, then south to Tallahassee by mid November.
