Check out the Michelin truck tire inflation tables and find the proper inflation pressure based on 1/2 the amount of weight on each axle, adding 10% since you don't have individual wheel weights, which is a more accurate way to do this.

I also have Defenders on my truck. The Michelin inflation table shows many Michelin tires, but Defenders are not one of them. A call to Michelin was absolutely no help at all.  I have Defender LTX M&S, they have LTX AT/2s but not M&S.

So you worry more about money than you do whether or not you are enjoying your life? Do you enjoy worrying? You must get something out of it or you wouldn't do so much of it.

Linda, another worrier who is trying to quit.

Cisco Kid: Our worries are over, Pancho.

Pancho: That’s what I worry about, Cisco.

    Cisco: Why

Pancho: If my worries are over, I won’t have anything to worry about.

Have your questions now been answered?

For the most part, yes.  I was advised to fill out the forms and mail them into Polk County, along with the relevant fees and sales tax, of course. My only remaining question is that the AZ dealer says he has to have a notary escort me to the state line, apparently to assertain I left the state. However, I don’t plan on leaving AZ for a few months after the purchase.  Has anyone else experienced a situation like this?  Advice on how to handle this would be appreciated.

  4. We have used an under sink filter with a separate dispenser spigot mounted to the countertop next to the sink for our last two trailers and found it to be excellent.

This is the spigot and canister configuration we use. It is the third one down on the page for $74.95.

This is the filter we use KDF-GAC the 8th one down for $29.95. It's good for 10,000 gallons and we change it once each year since we only filter the drinking water.

We boondock extensively and always drink the water from our fresh water tank and seldom have taste issues with our water. We do use an inexpensive sediment filter when filling our tank.

  5. Instead of trying to give reasons why you think this is a stupid law, come up with some ways to make if function better.

Since all inspections do is insure that vehicle lights are working for one moment in time, the whole vehicle inspection bureaucracy should be eliminated saving much money and wasted time for all involved, and let law enforcement do their job and cite vehicle equipment violators.

  6. The only problem with this issue, to my mind, is the 90 day prior to renewing deadline. I'm not sure exactly what they hope to accomplish with this. As long as the data base is going to be established, why wouldn't a current annual inspection be acceptable done any time during the year? That would, of course, require one to return to Texas at least once per year, but at ones own convenience. Not only would this assure that, at least once each year a vehicles headlights and taillights were working, but may, in some circumstances even increase the states revenue as folks would possibly get their inspections done before they were due based on when they were in the state that year. This, of course, would not be acceptable for people who may not return to Texas annualy.
