  1. Canadian Costco stores definitely do not take Visa.
  2. Got it, reported it, then deleted it. That's a textbook "phishing" attempt.
  3. If you plan to come to Canada, we don't have Sam's.
  4. Good point, Dave. We see less without the smart, than with. I suspect it keeps some of the draft off the front of the trailer.
  5. Loose connection, either 12v positive, or ground.
  6. Depending onthe time of season, Curt may offer you storage, with power for a very reasonable price.
  7. Talk to Curtis, at Carefree Manor, 480-982-4008. They're in Apache Junction. They do short term storage, with and without services.
  8. It's the membership number, assigned to you upon joining the club.
  9. Amazon, among others. Most dealers carry it, but watch the prices there.
  10. Put a roof rack on the Jeep, Let them ride there, then use Jeep for transport to water's edge. Unless they're 17' long.
  11. Highways can be snowed in, too. Sometimes, I10 is too far north.
  12. Ask the tire shop guys what the think of "Magic in a Can".
  13. When you spoke to the border agents, were you firm in specifically stating the RV was not to be abandoned, sold, or otherwise dumped in Canada? This is a ticklish subject, as like all jurisdictions, all Canadian provinces want revenue from vehicles using their roads. If the RV were to be permanently set, some don't require plates/registration but some will require property taxes be paid. If the intent is to import the RV into Canada, for use in Canada, then the border agent you spoke to were correct. If the intent is to stop, mid journey, and come back to the RV to resume your travels next season, there should be no problems. This is assuming the RV is parked in storage, and not in use while sitting. It would help if you were more specific in the locale of the storage, as some are more tenacious than others.
  14. "X" style"? Like ramping a Jeep to shorten a truck length.
  15. On perusing the parts sites, it looks like you have 2 types to choose from. One looks like a hearing aid, and is a switch. The other looks like a pencil, and could be either a thermocouple or RTD. If you can follow the wiring to the device, order the one to match.
  16. Depends, some freeze sensors are a switch mounted on the coils, some are a thermocouple, some are an RTD. A switch can be shorted to test, the other two can't. Shouldn't hurt anything to try, though.
  17. Mechanics of install? Measure, measure, measure. Buy a fridge. Now, think about cutting. It's not hard, but buying the right fridge for your RV helps.
  18. 2/3rd's of the way through August, and both DriveBC and Yukon Highways were advising against travel, going as far as closing the AlCan for a bit. Snow in mountain passes can happen at almost anytime of the year. Watch the forecast, keep your tanks topped up, and have provisions needed for overnight on board.
