In Topic: Tire Age/Condition?

06 December 2016 - 08:44 AM

Thanks for the responses everyone!  As I was typing my note yesterday, I realized I was answering my own question.  Why would I risk going anywhere with my MH that has 9+ year old tires on them?  All your comments just solidified my decision to order new tires right away.  I put my order in for all new Toyo M144's and will get them installed in the near future.  Yea it's a big outlay of cash, but now I hope I don't have to worry about it for at least 7 years or so!  Thanks everyone for the great input and safe travels!

Great, thanks for the advice and suggestions.  Will get a new LP detector and make sure the CO detector is working well to.  I found both plugs for the fridge and ice maker so will un plug the one and I'm good to go!  Thanks again

In Topic: 12V Cargo Heater

22 January 2016 - 09:25 AM

Thanks for the responses guys.  It is a small heater that blows air.  I have checked the thermostat and it works fine, so it must be someplace in the heater that the power is lost.  I will have to check it out and see if I can find where the circuit is lost.  I may just replace it with a small 120V ceramic heater and then run my generator while I travel until I get out of the freezing temps.  This way I wont use LP to keep my refridge and water heater going and I can run my furnace while traveling as well.  From what I've read, many folks run their gensets while they travel all the time.  Thanks again!
