Just wondering what the most common vehicles are for a toad? What do you have? We have 3 vehicles but none of the 3 are towable - 4 down.
A little background...........we purchased a 1997 Holiday Rambler Endeaver DP last year. We have a Blue Ox tow bar that was included with the motor home. We are probably going to sell our 2004 F350 and get a vehicle to use as a toad.

None of these required any modification except for the installing of a base plate, which is needed to safely tow any modern vehicle.

2012 Ford F150 SuperCrew 4x4. This is the first year you can tow a ford pickup 4 down straight from the factory with no modification needed.
I flat towed my 2000 F150 4x4 pickup, with no modifications. The Ford written requirements back then were, it had to have a manual transfer case (not electronic shift on the fly type), and they required you to disconnect one of the front differential vacuum lines, or the wires to the solenoid that controled that vacuum switch. I've since sold it and went to a F250 for the ranch and I dont tow that one, but the 2000 F150 towed just fine.

If you look at the items for sell forum, some CRV's are on this now. Buying one that is already set up for Toad duties, saves some funds on the base plate and some come with braking systems. Might be worth a look, if they are close to you...
Best of luck,
