Want to try fulltiming without a huge upfront expense? 1999 King of the Road 38’ fifth wheel w/triple slides that has every option that was available in ’99 except a dishwasher. Too many options and features to list. Very good condition.
Also 1998 International 4700LP tow truck (custom Stalick conversion), 530E engine, Allison 3060 transmission, air ride rear suspension, TrailerSaver air ride hitch.

How many miles on the truck?

159,000 miles. I have regular oil analysis reports that show the engine is in excellent condition. The 530E engine has an average life of 750,000 miles if properly cared for.

We have our trailer, but are looking for a truck. Yours looks like a good maybe. Inside pictures and history on the truck would help. Non-smoking, or?

I will get some interior photos online by Saturday or Sunday. As mentioned in the original post, I will not consider selling the truck before I sell the fifth wheel. To answer the question, NO the truck has never been smoked in.

Just as a comment. We have a 1999 KOTR C40KS which is almost identical but the kitchen is flipped over with the entertainment center to the street side and all mounted in an 18" slide out. We bought it used in 2003 and have lived in it the past 5 years. other than appliances wearing out as is typical of RV appliances, it has been sound and sturdy and we have never wished we had picked another unit not have ever seen anything that we liked better than this layout.

Ours does have a 7000 lb Dexter triple torqflex axle upgrade with 8000 lb brakes on it and this has given us plenty of carrying capacity and stopping power. The Marquis II product line that year was a slightly cost trimmed down version of the Crown Marquis models. Most were made exactly the same with slightly less bling expense but structurally and functionally identical.

Ours has a King bed with a 2' wide hanging closet between it and the shower. Otherwise, the floorplan is the same. I still have the original 1999 brochure on the King of the Road line in that year with the specs.

King of the Road still has service and parts available through their Eagle Crest manufactured housing sister company and through a network of RV dealers and service centers across the US. They did not just dump their customers without support like many other RV companies did when they closed up shop. There is a King of the Road users group called Kings on the Road which may have more info and perspectives about KOTR products.
