Good Morning:
I drive a Freightliner with a antenna that is used for my CB and my am, fm, radio. I would like to go to a better antenna, my question, do all CB antennas work on am, fm , frequency. I just use the CB for communications while I am traveling, but with the present system, I don't get a good range. Bruce

Hi Bruce,
Not sure what setup you have, but to me it sounds like some sort of compromise, kinda like a tool that does it all, but really dosen't do anything well. I think I'd look towards mounting a totally separate outside cb antenna. There are several brand names out there that have good reputations. I might also suggest a mag mount if your rig has a metal roof. ( no holes to drill ) Try to get the antenna as high as possible and away from any metal. Kinda like putting it on the roof of your car instead of mounting it on your back bumper where the metal of the car would interfere with the signal. Hope that makes sense.
Good luck
