McCain forgot his roots, the minute he stepped off the plane back in the 70's. IMO, he is the true definition of a traitor, to his fellow retirees.McCain has been anti-Vet for a long time. That's all I'll offer on the subject.

Please pas whatever it is that you are smoking around...We all could be delusional then. Do your homework a little better, then come back and tell us about the retirement system and health care for congress. It is sure as hell NOT the same one I am under.Congress has been on the same retirement system and Social Security as all other Federal employees since sometime in the 90's.

So tell us what what the health care for Congress is, and how it differs from yours, and also how it differs from other Federal employees?
Thanks in advance.

But, on grounds that working in Congress means uncertain job security, elected members and their staffs receive a larger retirement benefit from FERS for each year of service than other federal employees. They also become eligible for a retirement annuity at a younger age and with fewer years of service.
Congress members do receive some medical benefits beyond those available to regular federal workers.
In addition, current members (but not their dependents) can receive medical and emergency dental care at military hospitals and clinics. Inpatient care is covered by FEHBP insurance, but outpatient care is free if it's performed at facilities in the national capital region, such as Bethesda Naval Hospital in Maryland or Walter Reed Army Medical Center in the District of Columbia.

As I said, they do not receive the same benefits I do, they have "enhanced" theirs plus try and find any info on changes made since the 2007 report, it has been buried, just like their insider trading authorization was, until someone dug deep. NO apology needed, just do some research.

The ABC TV news program highlighted the medical clinicsin the congressional building. The justification was, it more than paid for itself from the time saved by congressmen not having to go elsewhere for medical attention.
That takes care of the medical part of Texan's accusation. I'm still waiting for his proof about their retirement and apology from him for saying I'm smoking something good and don't know what I'm talking about.

You are correct that members of Congress do have a somewhat enhanced retirement. You left out the fact they are required to put a larger percentage of their pay into the system and that they are penalized a percentage of their retirement if they elect to receive benefits before they would normally become eligible.
