Larry and Donna,
Welcome to the Escapee forums! Retired AF here, and many other retired military and vets here on the forums. Some fulltimers, some ex fulltimers, some wannabe fulltimers, as well as part timers, and just plain old timers! laugh.gif

Welcome to the forums, and if Jack has it on his website, you can probably take it to the bank and draw interest on it! Congrats on your purchase and decision to fulltime! Nothing else like it.

Welcome aboard! When we were towing with a PU I really liked the McKesh mirrors.

You will find a lot of us here like the Pressure Pro TPMS.

ljags1948,

Since I am one of those who still doesn't use any kind of pressure monitor, I don't have much to say on that subject but would like to welcome you to the forums!

Towing mirrors as add-ons; I use the cheapies that use a rubber strap to attach to OEM GM truck mirrors and they serve the purpose well. Last July I purchased a TST brand TPMS from plugitright.com. We both consider the money a great investment, as it has given advance warning of impendending tire failure twice in the last 3K miles.

I know what you are likely to say(but they're ugly) put the biggest West Coast style mirrors you can find on(like you see on dump trucks etc). One of the immediately noticable things when you sit in a big truck is how well you can see around the rig with the big mirrors. Add one of the small fish eye blind spot mirrors at the bottom of the big mirrors and you will be much better off than any smaller clamp ons. I had these on a previous pickup and really liked them. You do have to be a little more careful in tight spots(like drive throughs) or you will hit the mirrors. Regarding the TPMS the one draw back to the internal types is the expense. Each tire must be removed and deflated to install the monitor, not something most of us have the capabilty to do at home. Best wishese, Jay and Kathy
