Lucky Bob... he can go bang on Mail Call's door to get his mail. I wish this had happened while we were still in NC. At least I could have drove over to Cleveland to find out what is going on (voice mail gets no results). No I can't. No one at home and the "new" owner isn't around either. I've been going over there since the 1st of Jan. and then saw that they were in "Q" trying to drum up business. I think they just wanted some cash coming in. They were offering various discounts if you would pay in advance. Bob -------------------- 2005 Volvo VNL 780 "Big Red"

I just wish they would send my mail to me... I should have a W-2 sitting there and would like to do my taxes! I also have TX business permits and info that I have had to have duplicated.

If ya'll are residents of Tennessee through this mail forwarding service, have you contacted your state reps to ask them for help?

The new owner keeps telling me that he is sending my mail out tomorrow but tomorrow never comes. the last time I talked to him was last Friday so we will see. I cannot see a lot of improvement in service.

Because moving to Texas is not an option for everyone, they have some laws on the books that make it a very bad idea for some folks. The common-law marriage rules there could cost unmarried folks living together a big chunk of their pensions as an example. I get such a giggle out of people who shop on the single issue of taxes. That is so American, "penny wise and pound foolish" is an expression that fits our culture so well... So Stan, To use the Escapees Mail Forwarding service I'd have to move to Texas? No, you can use the Escapees mail forwarding service regardless of where you live in the US. I'm not sure how out of country issues are being dealt with today.
You would however have to do something to establish and/or maintain your domicile in another location though. For SD and being full time that would have required a second mail forwarder with a SD address to meet their rules. I'm not sure about other states rules. -------------------- Stan, E-Mail: skp-forum-01 at stanmiller.info

Redbus-got your PM with contact info. Thanks!
I'm going to work on making contact with the new owner ASAP. If he isn't responding to his customers, I'm not sure he will respond to me, but it's worth a shot... If anyone gets their mail or speaks to the owner, call/e-mail me asap. |

New outfit is The Mail Box Online
http://www.themailboxonline.com/news.html Telephone: 423.244.1722 info@themailboxonline.com - for general information lbarthlow@themailboxonline.com - Assistant I called the Cleveland PO this morning. It appears that the old owner has skipped town. I called the new owner phone number and got a recording that the voicemail was full. So I sent a message on the contact form. Read the info on the above link. They say they don't have all our mail and I just called a company that I worked for last year. The USPS sent back my W2 with a label saying that it was unable to be delivered and unable to be forwarded. Please help spread the word around on all the other RV forums and include the website/contact info. apparently Mail Call did not leave contact info on their customers. That is so American, "penny wise and pound foolish" is an expression that fits our culture so well... Without picking too many nits, "penny wise and pound foolish" is a Brit saying and refers to their currency, pounds and pennies. But you are right, one size does not fit all. As someone who is over 6'4" tall and weighs 250++ pounds (the weight not the currency) can attest. -------------------- Fulltime Wannabe, Mike

Terry They may not have any of your mail. I'm giving them until next week then I will call the Cleveland PO and ask how to get a change of address thru to them. I don't get much in the way of mail. We have to figure out what we are going to do. If we plan on staying in Corpus Christi, I will get a box here. But I'm nor sure, so we will temporarily send our mail to our daughters house in NM. I don't know why the old site is still up. But someone at the post office told me Pinney skipped town and no one knew where he was. -------------------- |

I hate to be the bearer of bad/worse news, but unless the P.O. is going to do something outside their normal policies, they will not let you submit a change of address order. Because you are using a commercial mail receiving agency, you must change your address with the individual entities that send you mail. Basically, you'll have to call/e-mail each vendor you receive mail from.
This is why professional, ethical services will forward your mail for 6 months after your cancellation notice to allow you time to do this. Again, if you are an Tennessee resident through this service, call your state reps to see if they can help you. I know the Texas reps would certainly help in this situation. I have written to the new owner trying to educate them on the importance of this issue. Your state reps will only listen to you-call them today! |

The old owners did not do anything to help the new people out as far as contacts and stuff. The new owners seem nice and seem like they want to do a good job.I guess only time will tell. I plan on going back over tomorrow and talking with them some more abut getting mail out. If anybody that has mail there will email me at bobbyd1723 at gmail dot com (subistuite @ for at and . for dot) I will give them your names and see what I can find out about your mail. I will keep y'all updated on everything I find out. Bob -------------------- 2005 Volvo VNL 780 "Big Red"

They have told me repeatedly that they have mail for me and will send it out the next day. I have told them I will pay the postage and any other fees .
We will be leaving Aransas Pass TX. soon and go to Indiana so I may stop in Tn. for a Day or two and get the mail. |
