Will be heading to Yuma, Az. this week. One of our overnight stops is around Benson. I see the Walmart does not allow overnight stops. There are overnight stops listed west of Benson around Gas City. Is this the standard desert pull off the road type area? Last year we were further north and stayed overnight near the juction of I-10 and SR 85. heading toward Gila Bend. Lots of pull off spots there. Is Benson the same? Thanks, John

We have stayed overnight at Gas City. It can get pretty crowded with trucks at night but it is pretty huge. If you get there early-ish you can find a safe out of the way place. Or, you can Boondock at the Benson coop.

We liked the Gas City stop, early gets you a more level site. KFC, McDonalds, A&W... my kind of boondocking!
Zoom out a bit to see all that is there. http://maps.google.com/?ie=UTF8&hq=&am...mp;t=h&z=18 -------------------- Stan, E-Mail: skp-forum-01 at stanmiller.info
