Plastic Sink Stains - How do you clean them?

We bought a new to us 2005 Newmar Northern Star. The sink has what appears to be some kind of plastic sink material. The PO did not protect the bottom of the sink with a rubber protector. As such the sink has scores of micro cuts and the bottom of the sink is stained and somewhat brownish.

I tried using Bar Keepers Friend cleanser and that made some difference but not nearly enough. Any suggestions for perhaps polishing the bottom of the sink or failing that, getting stains out? Any advice would be appreciated.

Have you considered putting the stopper in and soaking sink in a bleach/water solution to get the stains out? Over the years, my husband has changed out those acrylic (?) sinks for deeper , one-bowl, stainless steel sinks and added a shut-off into the plumbing and overall improved the plumbing under the sink. I donated the plastic sinks to thrift shops. Hope you can get some help on this forum. Regards.

I looked on YouTube - they used a couple inches of hot water in the sink w/OxiClean and soak:

For repairs, another guy used the edge of a palm sander (elec) with 220 grit paper.... I'd be using this as my last resort for repairs:

Anyway, browsing YouTube is always interesting and may give you ideas such as this:

Soft Scrub and a green scrub pad is what Dow Corning recommends for cleaning their Corian sinks. We've done this on all our sinks, and it works great.

Be sure to rinse really well. We've seen how Soft Scrub sets up around its container opening and don't want that happening in our pipes.

My Winnebago owners manual said to soak with a bleach solution. That worked but I found that using Clorox Clean-Up Cleaner With Bleach Spray often pretty well eliminated the need to soak. I also used SoftScrub with bleach from time to time.
