Ideas to Remove Engine Oil Stains on Fiberglass 5er?

Does anyone have ideas/tips/product suggestions to remove engine oil stains on a fiberglass fith wheel?

Our Dodge RAM engine blew an engine seal coming across Utah the other day. The engine survived thankfully but our new-to-us (!) RV is a mess. It got covered with grease just about everywhere and the 105-degree temps just baked it in.

We cleaned it as best we could at a truck wash, but there are still stains all over the fiberglass and even worse on the plastic door and window trim, wheel fenders, etc.

Not sure about the best way to attack this without messing up our new clear coat or the plastic, so any tips you might have would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Simple Green would be my try, we had issues with diesel oil stains on a vehicle and it did a decent job. Use a soft cloth (towel or old T-shirt) gently applied and cleaned often. The oil wasn't so much the problem, the hard to remove stuff was the carbon particles.

If the above suggestions do not work totally, although they should. Then go to a NAPA dealer and get some Kleenz Easyy. It is what is used before spray painting to remove oil products, silicone and even finger prints.

Then it will be time for wax again.

Gel Gloss http://www.campingworld.com/shopping/item/gel-gloss-12-oz-aerosol/4585&affiliateid=5571

Not the Gel Gloss RV cleaner and wax like this: http://www.campingworld.com/shopping/item/gel-gloss-rv-cleaner-gallon/18003

They are completely different. The Gel Gloss cleaner in the first link goes a long way and is used very sparingly. Once you get the hang of it, it is the go to cleaner for black streaks etc. No elbow grease and it leaves a nice shine.

Has the OP tried any of the suggested items yet? Did it work?

Oh sorry I forgot to update, thanks for asking. We went through a ton of products. Dawn didn't work, neither did some eco-friendly degreasers. We found that WD-40 took a bunch off on certain plastics, I wrote about it here.

This (supposedly) eco-friendly stuff also worked on tougher areas, but we had to rub it in with a palm sander and non-abrasive microfiber cloth. It left it slightly dull in places but nothing that a quick waxiing didn't take care of.

Yes, it was a hideous, all day project. That oil was baked in good.
