New RV Park to Call Home

Recommended Posts

Well, I was able to get into an awesome RV park last Wednesday! The staff is incredible! Very eager to help a newbee like myself!

This being my first RVing experience, especially in a 23 year old Class C where issues are sure to arise I am sure glad to be in such a friendly place :)

Some things I need to get repaired are the water heater...huge hole in the tank because the previous owner didn't winterize it and I thought the fridge needed to be replaced but the staff was able to help me get in going on propane just won't work on electric. Fortunately the Park has a nice community area with showers, laundry etc.

So excited to finally have a place to call home! Nick will see it this weekend.

Ace likes it too :)

Here are a few pics!

If the refrigerator doesn't work on electricity but does on propane, there are two likely causes. The first is a fuse on the main control circuit board that may be open. It is probably a 5A fuse but to know for sure I'd need to know the make and model of the refrigerator. If it isn't the fuse, or if the fuse is open and replacing it just blows another fuse, then it is probably the electric heater needs to be replaced. That isn't a bad job for most models but access to the heater will depend upon where it is located and the installation in the RV.

Water heater tanks can be replaced but if you are paying an RV tech to do the work it may well be better to just replace the water heater.

The Tioga looks pretty good for 23 years old, at least on the outside.

Like Kirk says...if the fridge works good on propane the electric side of it wont be too bad or expensive of a fix....congrats on your new lifestyle.
