  1. Time to purchase new trailer tires for my horse trailer. I currently have Goodyear g614 14ply and have been good but my local Kal tire does not deal with Goodyear. Looking for opinions on the Carlise Radial Trail HD. My concern is the Goodyear is 110 psi and the Carlise is 95psi. Also the Goodyear are more than twice the price. Had Crossfire on before and did not like the damage the blowout did after 2 years of use.
  2. Camping at Wickenburg with 2 horses. We where in the BLM but moved closer to town at the Rodeo camp grounds as the weather was supposed to get bad with a storm and lots of rain. Did not want to get trapped and stuck out there.
  3. Sitting on the beach in Oregon at the Nehalem State park horse campsites. Fun riding the roses in the surf.
  4. Will be in Goldfield tomorrow (saturday) just north of Apache Junction. We have our neighbours in tow that saw our rig and decided to build up a 98 Freight Liner with a smart car as well. We ride the horses most days but are back in the early afternoon, stop by and say hi.
  5. Leaving Dead Horse Ranch State park in Cottonwood AZ tomorrow and heading to Bryce Canyon via Page To ride the horses in the scenic rocks
  6. Staying in Goldfield just North of Apache Junction for a few weeks then off to ???? with the horses. Anyone in the area welcome to stop by and say hi. Follow our travels with the blog on the link in the Signature
  7. Heading from Merritt BC to Goldfield AZ in the new year, looking for some warmer weather was -25c or -13F here for a bit.
  8. Just into a new home in Merritt. 5 months in the trailer, miss having a workshop now I can get the new 20' x 40' shop organized in a few days.
  9. Well back at home camping in the back yard. House has sold so off again, this time to Merritt BC to look for a new home while livig in the trailer.
  10. The picture of the rig was shot with my GoPro Hero 2 camera on wide angle. There are a lot more photos here on the blog http://campingandhorses.blogspot.com/ Be warned you could be awhile on this blog to see it all
  11. We are currently in Tombstone AZ , The smart car sure gets a lot of attention, especially when we cram a 3rd person in the back Here is a sunset shot of our Western Star and a friends Peter built in Apache Junction.
  12. The horses get new scenery every time we move. We use a portable shock fence that works well, the horses respect the fence unless something spooks them badly. So far we have only twice had to fetch the horses back. I am looking to get some metal stall panels so I feel comfortable with going into town and leaving then unattended.
  13. Just about to graduate, the house deal locks in by Friday and possession is in 2.5 weeks. Have not purchased another property yet so we will go full time for awhile and travel with our 2 horses, 2 cats, 2 dogs, 2 people and the new to us HDT.
  14. Hi

I had the truck singled in Abdotsford BC Canada. Cost was $1500 and they keep all the extra parts and the hitch. I was going to do it myself but did not have the lift equipment and then did not have to get rid of the parts. Company name is KDM. They are also building my hitch and deck.
