  1. My trailer width is 96" so I need to allow about 50" from King Pin to bumper of Jeep or what ever 4X4 goes there. My storage space just shrunk down to 40" but it is really tall. Thanks Nigel now for the ramp designs strong enough to load a Jeep. Storage could work next to the Jeep flat on the deck on on the skirt sides. So the slide-in camper will be sold and a Jeep will travel in front of the 5er plate by 50".
  2. @Jack Mayer would know this answer; master bed builder. Thanks in advance.
  3. How do I figure the safe distance from the King Pin of the RV to clear a Jeep on the deck of the HDT. The Jeep (2 Door) is 13' 10" not purchased interested in other vehicle recommendations that would work not longer than a Jeep. Hope to see some of you at the National Rally with this completed, including ramps. Dennis
  4. We shall return this year in a 5th wheel Brinkley Z3100; plans to put Jeep on the deck. Dennis & Sheri

  6. Good point ddm, where do I purchase the SS pipe? Is it harder to work with. I purchased this pipe in picture from NAPA years ago in a 10' section. Thanks for your suggestions. Dennis
  7. I have been using this exhaust flex piping and not happy with how quickly it will rust out. Mine is not the high end stainless. Can I coat my new piece with some material to make it last longer? Maybe even high temp Black paint. Anyone got any great ideas. My pipe lasted about 4 to 5 years. At least I keep this spare pipe over the years. Location from the muffler to hard pipe about 32".
  8. I am getting ready to pull the trigger on a Trailer Saver hitch just debating between the TS3 and TSLB. The TSLB gives me more room for growth in the future but not sure I need it. The TS3 mounts differently on rails as I understand reading about it. So each product will require me to mount a metal plate between my frame rails and then mount the rails to the plate. Do I have the process correct? All of the height requirements need to be carefully thought out in order to get the plate to the correct height. I think this target height is 48" please confirm. Goal is to get the 5er level or noise down slightly so it has a bit more pin weight. My pin weight will be 2200 lbs. My Brinkley comes out of production mid March.
  9. Looks like Trailer Saver TSLB is the correct product for my RV. Thanks All.
  10. Rich, cannot use an air ride hitch with the low pin weight of 2200 lbs. Henry with ET does not recommend his product or other type hitches. So I will go with the Pinbox that will give flex or cushion. Maybe GenY….
  11. I am having Volvo Denver dealer install and program a new ECM. Old ECM had an internal failure so bad it could NOT be reflashed. I should be back on the road by Wednesday. And yes this will be expensive.
  12. Adding a standard pickup 5th wheel hitch to my Volvo 670. Cannot use the ET Hitch because my pin weight is only 2200 lbs. Henry with ET Hitch tells me to look for a Pinbox that has cushion or dampening built in to protect the RV. Will the GenY hitch do this? Who else makes a good Pinbox? RV Brinkley Z3100 GVRW 15,000lbs Bonus Points: Which hitch should I mount on the semi?
  13. Santa was up at 5:00am not sure why but Zena did get to go out to see the Rain Deer. Coffee in bed to start off Christmas day here in Denver with the white stuff on the ground. We wish you all a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Years. Dennis & Sheri
  14. I bumper pull an enclosed trailer 25’ has toys inside, filled with cabinets and such. It is 100% aluminum so light weight but built well. First years pulled with standard hitch and for past 3 years Gen-Y; by far best hitch and safe. No issues pulling trailer no contents within trailer. My Sundowner trailer is by far best ever owned.
