Cyberdave
That is so cool. Don't forget, those with an interest in aviation, Pima Air and Space museum is must do. They also have a tour of the bone yard that is very interesting. It leaves from the air museum. bobsallyh
You know Kirk, I'm glad you posted this. Too many folks think that they wont fit in because of an RV they have. I enjoy any RV and don't give a hoot!

Dennis M
Definitely the Desert Museum and the Air & Space Museum noted above! Other spots: H. F. Coors 1st Saturday of the month they have a seconds sale. Philabaum Glass This just scratches the surface. As long as we are talking things to do, how about places to eat? Beyond Bread sandwiches to die for! The one on Speedway is in same center as Bookman's BK Tacos definitely not fancy, just a taco stand, but good food. Cushing Street Bar and Restaurant across from convention center in downtown on edge of the old barrio, for a special night out. For Mexican, El Charo is living on it's reputation, disappointed a number of times and don't go there anymore. La Fuente was better, but the one is Tucson is gone. We like Las Portales For steaks try Silver Saddle Steakhouse not a great neighborhood, but good steaks. Rogerracer
There are definitely lots of interesting places in Tucson. We have spent 4-8 weeks there for the last 3 Winters. Here's a list I made for friends who are moving there: Tahona Chul Park/Arboretum Sabino Canyon Park, Walk or ride shuttle as little or as much as you want. Additional longer trails too. Kitt Peak Observatory, Actually 14 observatories on Kitt Peak. About 50 miles W. of town. UofA Mirror Lab tour. Under the football stadium at U of A. Where the mirrors for all the very large telescopes in the world are manufactured. Fascinating! Make reservations online. Sonoran Desert Museum, A must see Saguaro National Park, Both East and West of town. Pima Air Museum, An all day tour. Davis-Montham AFB airplane boneyard tour. Make reservations early AM or day before at the Pima Air Museum counter. Hiking in the Tortolita Mountains, West of Catalina SP. Numerous hikes both long and short leaving from trailhead in Catalina SP. Titan Missile Site S. of Tucson. Interesting tour of a cold war missile silo complete with Titan missle. Town of Tubac, further South. Shopping galore. Oracle State Park and town of Oracle. Biosphere 2 Tour, now operated by U of A. Towns of Globe and Superior. Old mining areas N. of Oracle. Art Museum in Downtown Tucson. Old Presidio area of Tucson While at Kartchner Caverns: Take one or both Cave Tours. Probably not on same day. Each is about 90 minutes and you could suffer from Sensory Overload! Just too much amazing stuff. (Like the Soda Straw type Stalactite that grows 1/10” every century. There’s one stretching from floor to ceiling that’s 21 feet long!) Sightseeing in the Chiracura Mtns. Visiting Coronado Natl’ Monument Wine tasting in Wilcox and Sonoita
