maveric
I would love to have some snow this year. We usually have 2-3 feet on the ground, and 5-10 feet on the mountain right now. Currently we have dirt at the house, and only 3' on the mountain. We had our spring the last couple weeks, with temps in the 40-50's. It is winter again here now, had 2* this morning. I have a feeling it is going to be a hot, dry summer. Wildland fire season, here we come.... Big5er
LOL You beat me to it Dave. The 3 best ways to avoid shoveling driveways is to live 1) somewhere where they don't have driveways, 2) somewhere where they don't have shovels or 3) somewhere where they don't have SNOW. I called in sick today because it was a frigid 45 degrees. The nasty cold weather will only last a day or two. It'll be back to normal by the weekend. wa_desert_rat
For the first winter in over 20 years, the DW and I did not go cross-country skiing at all this season. Usually we go every two weeks and spend a long ski weekend at Winthrop. Even a major x/c ski development center, devoted to elite-class skiers from all over the world, had to hold their major event on Mt. Spokane instead of their headquarters at Cabin Creek (8 miles east of Snoqualmie Pass on I-90). And even *that* was on crappy snow!!! Nuke-E
David must be in the Keys. That is my guess. Didn't have to go that far. That was at Fort Desoto County Park at the mouth of Tampa Bay (right near the Sunshine Skyway bridge). Definitely an HDT friendly park--the average pull-through was probably about 100' long, and the back-ins are all on the water. 45' 2004 Showhauler -- VNL300, ISX, FreedomLine -- RVnerds.com -- where I've started to write about what I'm up to Headlight and Fog Light Upgrades http://deepspacelighting.com

phoenix2013
Hey Bill, I want Henry to post some kind of some swimming pool action.lol. David must be in the Keys. That is my guess. You wish is my command, pool is up to 80 degrees today (February 24th, 2015) But the fond (not) memories Ah, the "technique" with the shovel when confronted with this: 1. Open the door, evaluate the situation, curse the snow God. 2. Start small, surface cuts off the top, then go deeper, one shovel wide all the way to the bottom, steps level. 3. Curse the snow God, widen the path until stairs are clear, pace yourself, you will be at it 4-6 hours. 4. Curse the snow God, move on to the car, open car door area, just enough to slink inside to back it out. 6. Curse the snow God, move around the car and to the trunk area and the rear tires. 7. Curse the snow God, cut the snow down in the rear of the car so that you can "gun it" and get it to the area that has been "professionally plowed". Parked the "snow bunny car" and wait for the plower to come back and do the stairs 8. Curse the snow God, clear the front windshield, take the "snow bunny" onto the highway and blow off the snow from the front, roof and the trunk. It's illegal in New Hampshire but the "Smokeys" are busy with other issues in a snow like this. Repeat process week later after this. Found an "archived" photo from the good all days, I was thinking of making it into a huge mural on the back of the drom. Opening the garage door and facing this with two cars trapped, one in front and one behind the Volvo. No pathway for the "plower" this was all gonna be a shovel action (about 5 hours). Son is here from New Hampshire with his daughter, they drove to Marathon Key today for the "swim with the dolphins" gig, they will be back tomorrow. I predict the pool will move up to 82-84 by then. alan0043
Hi Everyone, Here in northeast Ohio we are going for a record. Right now we are rewriting the record books. The record in question is, "The Coldest Month of February Ever". I believe the old record was 100 years ago. This is an average of the temperatures per day for the whole month. Thanks Henry for posting. I always enjoy your wording. lol. phoenix2013
Now you are grasping it. If you don't succeed with a unidirectional argument, global warming, you replace it with a bidirectional argument, climate change. This way, whichever way it goes you can still blame it on the stupid human race.
