floncto Posted June 23, 2016 Report Share Posted June 23, 2016 I am thinking of having MorRyde IS installed on my 5er, along with HWH leveling. I'm in Lake Havasu City and still work, so a trip to Elkhart is not feasible. The MorRide site indicates that they have an installer for IS in Colton CA. That shop also does HWH work. N TX Dave Posted June 24, 2016 Report Share Posted June 24, 2016 When I called to see if there was one in Dallas/Fort Worth I was told that their installers can not install the IS it is done only at the factory so I am going to Elkhart leaving Sunday to work my way up there, I am glad I am retired. SPII Posted June 24, 2016 Report Share Posted June 24, 2016 I had two Mor/Ryde IS axles on my Suites but I needed a third axle on my camper so I ordered one from Mor/ryde and had it installed by a local truck shop. The main thing that Mor/Ryde was concerned with was the alignment of the wheels and so I made sure my mechanic was aware of this and he did a good job. I stopped by Mor/Ryde in Elkhart IN a couple weeks ago to have the alignment checked and it was right on. Any decent truck repair shop can install the IS system even though they are not "Mor/Ryde certified" to do so. They did not say it could not be done elsewhere, just that they did not authorize anyone else to do it for the warranty. I asked for a recommended CA installer and they told me about the installer in Colton, CA. They said he was a certified installer. I made contact with him, but for other reasons didn't go through with the install. I still may at some point. I just haven't pulled the trigger yet. Based on my conversations with Mor/Ryde and the installer, I feel comfortable using him. Mor/Ryde never said anything about them having to do the install. Big Greg Posted June 25, 2016 Report Share Posted June 25, 2016 Kansas RV Center (formerly NuWa) in Chanute, KS had Young's Welding install MOR/ryde IS on the frame before it was taken across the parking lots to NuWa. MOR/ryde welds the IS system to frames so be sure other installers weld them on rather than bolt them on. If you went to Elkhart to have MOR/ryde install the IS you could also have Quadra Manufacturing in White Pigeon, MI install their Big Foot auto leveling system. They are about 30 minutes from MOR/ryde.
