SWharton
That is why many of us use the 375/404 bypass.........................
rcflyerrv
It sure wasn't finished when we came that route last October. I think it would have been nerve racking had we been in our WB Journey that we have been driving for 16 years, but to be in our new (to us) 42 foot Scepter -- an old pilot phrase comes to mind: "you couldn'a driven a needle up my but with a sledge hammer," I was puckered so tight. SWharton
Loop is finished and ro our surprise links directly to I10, no need to go on service road.
mptjelgin
We took LP 345 around El Paso about two weeks ago and it was great. No more IH-10 for us!! Â You haven't driven on a lot of mountain passes out in the west? Not sure what people find so daunting about this route? gjhunter01
I think the concern of I-10 through El Paso is way over rated. I've driven through there a dozen times and don't ever remember any traffic issues. The West bound sun issue is only for 1/2 hour and easily avoided if it's a big concern. If you want traffic challenges, try making truck deliveries in downtown DC or NYC. Any traffic jam shouldn't be a concern unless you are under a time constraint, not typical for a average retiree. SWharton
You do know you don't take 375 all the ways. You switch, E to W, from 375, to 54, to 3255, 213, 404. That is the flat route. Actually 54-3255-213 are all the same road, 54 bears right and 3255 takes over.
rcflyerrv
The pass was a breeze. It was the transition from 345 back onto I-10 eastbound. One very narrow lane, all kind of construction with concrete walls on both sides of the one lane that was open and very tight turns for a long coach with a tow.
