I read this in an older post and was wondering if someone has web addresses for any of this information

How/where do you apply for senior pass?

Also is there a nationwide membership for national parks, forests and COE's?

Thanks bunches

Since you're 62 be sure to get the Senior Pass for 1/2 off on camp fees in national park, national forests, Corp of Engineers parks.

It really isn't a matter of registering, but rather you must purchase your lifetime senior pass. If you go to this link you can download a copy of the places where this can be purchased, or you can get one next time you visit a national park. An explanation of exactly what this pass is can be found on the website of Senior Living and it is a good place to start.

Kirk is the places to purchase also places that you can stay or is there a separate list for that? We have never stayed at any of the parks and would like to explore into them. As seniors it seems well worth it. Any help would be so welcomed. Thank you

In general, parks that have campgrounds will give a 50% discount, unless they are operated by vendors. Some vendors give the discount and others do not. The Corps of Engineers parks all give that discount, as far as I know. You will find more information at this link.

Where can I use my Senior Pass?

Please contact a site directly if you have a question about pass acceptance and fees.

The Forest Service, the National Park Service, Fish and Wildlife Service, Bureau of Land Management, USACE, and Bureau of Reclamation honor the Senior Pass at sites where Entrance or Standard Amenity Fee(s) (Day use fees) are charged.

In addition, the Tennessee Valley Authority may honor the Senior Pass for entrance or camping discounts.

And, if both of you are eligible for the Senior Pass, you should both get one. Some amenity fees are half price only for the card holder...for example, at Great Basin NP in Nevada, a card holder gets half price off the cave tour fee.
