  1. I've used it for several years. I wouldn't be without it.
  2. I think all the mail forwarders do this, primarily because it's required by postal regulations.
  3. I got some that were drinking water safe, and have used them frequently. Only had one blow out, and when it did, it flooded the campsite before I got the water shut off. I think the brand I bought was Sun Joe, or Aqua Joe.

    Who knew?

A few years ago, our regional RV club was hosting a rally for the national club. One of our host couples gave us all plastic pink flamingos to put in front of our RV's to identify us as hosts so that other members could contact us for any rally questions or issues. We never heard about this other meaning, and I wonder now if some of the people in the RV resort thought we had a big gathering of swingers!
  5. Our mail service is MyRVmail out of Crestview, FL. That's not far from Pensacola. We established our Florida domicile with the state offices there in Crestview. They are familiar with full time RVers, and the process was uneventful.
  6. After spending a lot of $$ on Kindle books over the past few years, I recently got a library card from our local library system. They have an ebook program where you can check out ebooks for 3 weeks at no charge. I'm currently going through Lee Child's Jack Reacher series. It seems like the library has all of them available.
  7. The service in Crestview, FL, MyRVMail, is who we use for our mailing service. They are not associated with any RV park. Their address (and mine) is their office street address. It is recognized as a valid address by the state of Florida for drivers licenses and vehicle registration. For voting, if you are using the MyRVMail address as your domicile, you are assigned the address of the courthouse in Crestview.
  8. Most people have vehicles, so registration of them is important when establishing a domicile. But, you don't have to have a vehicle. The steps will all be the same, you just won't have to register a vehicle. You will still need an address, and all the documentation to support your new address.
  9. When my 8800L starts acting wonky, I swap out the battery with a new one, and that clears up the issues.
  10. It's at Sumter Oaks in Bushnell. The info is not from the website, but from people I know who stay in the park who don't have an ERPU site, but stay month to month. They have had to find spots in other parks for a few months before they could return.
  11. I believe it's 8 months in, then out for 4 months before you can return.
  12. We used to go to Premier Medical in Bushnell, but weren't very pleased with the staff, or the way the office was run. It seemed like we had problems with billings, appointments, lab tests, etc. at every visit. Now we go to HCA Florida Oak Hill in Brooksville, and really like it. It is a teaching clinic, so you are assigned to an intern and an attending physician. The intern does the routine stuff, and the attending reviews everything and steps in when needed. They are very efficient and thorough. As far as a dentist, I would not recommend Sumter Value Dental. They were overly agressive on what they thought should be done, and after I went back to my old dentist in GA, found that most of the work they wanted to do was not needed. Also had a bad experience there with a tooth that was pulled that probably didn't need to be done. I'm still looking for a dentist in Bushnell or the surrounding area.
  13. The reports we've heard are that it is in good shape, and no flooding.
  14. We like to stay at Corps of Engineer parks. Most of them have a booking window six months out. Just about all the sites are booked up on Friday and Saturday nights as soon as the window opens. You have to be quick on the mouse to grab one.
  15. Bushnell is already booked up for next winter.
