  1. The more you use it, the easier it gets. I've planned (and done) a number of cross country trips with it & for me it is the best trip planning app available.
  2. I agree with Linda, but talk to who ever you choose to be sure they understand your lifestyle, and they make clear the rules for your state. For example, in NY you must see your doctor to get a refill of scripts after 6 months. My doctor is willing to do phone/video visits when I'm traveling for that length of time, and calls in the scripts to a near by pharmacy.
  3. Musk has nothing to do with these heaters. Like "his energy saving device" advertised a couple of months ago, scammers are using photoshopped images to make it appear that it is his device. I am not a fan of Musk, but nether of these heavily internet advertised devices has anything to do with him.
  4. The more open the better- I prefer state & national parks. I don't need hookups (I often spend the winter in the Quartzsite Long Term Visitor Area going 90+ days without hookups) but when it gets too hot, I head for state parks that have electric so I can run the AC.
  5. I have a 8000 BTU Midea window split AC at home ($379.00 at Amazon). It is an inverter powered compressor so most of the time it draws well under the maximum. Very quiet, and it can be controller vis Bluetooth or WiFi. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08677DCKN/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 The only problem I've had with it is sealing around the split well enough to keep the bugs out.
  6. I have Unitron behind the ear hearing aids, rechargeable, Bluetooth to my phone, etc. I had to have custom molds made for my ears - I have extremely small & curved ear canals that don't hold pods (or any earphone that doesn't include a headband). Expensive since they are through an audiologist, but my insurance covers the full price with replacements every 4 years & Unitron warrantees them for 4 years. I'd love to be able to try the iPods, but they won't work for me.
  7. While I'm well under your anticipated trailer size, I tow a 5000 pound trailer with a 2018 3.5EB with basic tow package. 21MPH highway unhooked, 12 - 13MPG towing. 42,000 miles towing so far and no problems other than having the cam phaser replacement done under warrantee at 30K.
  8. Our county has moved into the high risk category. I deliver Meals on Wheels to a high rise building and they reinstated "Masks Required" last week. As to Covid booster & Flu vaccine, I got mine 2 weeks apart although the local Walgreens was doing them (by appointment) at the same time.
  9. I spend 6-7 months a year in an Escape 21C. Full size bed, table converts to another, wet bath, light weight (4700 lbs loaded). Not 4 season, but does OK with nights down to the 20's as long as the day gets into at least the high 40's.
  10. If you are attempting to improve the reception & speed of a cell modem, you will likely have better results putting a pair of antennas on the roof connected to the MIMO inputs of the modem than you will with an amplifier. If you are looking to boost cell phone signals, an amp will be necessary since few cell phones have external antenna connectors. Be sure you follow the instructions for the separation of the inside & outside antennas, and unless you put the outside antenna on a high pole, expect to need to be within a couple of feet of the inside antenna to see any improvement.
  11. The generator has a 30 amp 120/240 volt output, ie 2 legs at 30 amps. Not what you get with a true 50 amp 120/240V connection, but a total of 60 amps at 120v, rather than 100. The right most receptacle combined with the adapter Lafitte suggested will do the trick as long as you keep the load on each side below 30 amps..
  12. I added effective bubble wrap to the back of my Garmin 890, and while it helps, I still have had problems after the truck has been sitting in direct sunlight with it not starting due to overheating. It has not been a problem when driving...
  13. I I've visited many commercial, state & national park caves, and while not a National cave, the Caverns of Sonora in Sonora Tx is by far my favorite. Wonderful color and formations that are rare in other caves. They have a water & electric campground at the cavern.
  14. I prefer non commercial campgrounds for my trip to wintering in southern Arizona. I only do a couple hundred miles per day & usually stay at least 2 days per stop, taking 2 months to get to Arizona. Last year was the first time I made reservations for both going & returning, going about 5 months ahead & returning about 4 months ahead. I found a few campgrounds I wanted that were full, but most had sites. While actually on both trips, I found around half the campgrounds were full. Just made reservations for the trip out this coming October & only found one of the campgrounds full, so maybe I'll be able to go back to non reservation travel.
