  1. Thanks Joel. We have been very happy with Verizon in the west.
  2. We primarily boondock and have an android smart phone that we use when in the US. We use the hot spot on the phone for our internet needs. We will be getting Verizon’s unlimited data plan this fall and I’m hoping to find a cell signal booster to improve the signal.
  3. Wow... was following this thread to answer my own questions. This is waay too complicated. I just want a stronger cell phone signal.
  4. I've been a refrigeration tech doing all types of commercial and industrial refrigeration as well as hvac since 1969. 48 years . I have stopped giving out advice to owners since there are too many variables and too much knowledge and experience needed to be able to diagnose and repair an air conditioner. You need to know what you are doing or damage and injury can occur.
  5. Kirk...personally I have had terrible results with ST tires 3 out 4 failed in a year. I like the Michelin xpribs as well as Hankook lt tires. Goodyears are good as well.
  6. Michael I will have to respectfully disagree with you. Too many times in my career have I found contactor points welded together ...it is usually caused by the contactor opening under load or closing to a big load...but in the industrial field that is their purpose.it can also happen from worn and pitted points not making good contact. I will not take that chance in my motorhome.
  7. Because a mechanical device is something that can and will fail. I never start my generator while plugged into shore power. Yes you can do so but I dont....just sayin. Personally I look at the transfer switch as a device that will stop the gen power from backfeeding into the shore power cord.
  8. Hmmm....good reminder to replace mine. It is just as liable to spew its contents everywhere as put those same contents in the right place. I only think of replacing it when Im using it.....lol.
  9. I like the Geo Method except for the need to sanitize my waste tanks......no need for that IMHO.
  10. I read on the internet so it must be true....that honey mixed with cinnamon (lots of cinnamnon) is very good for your circulation and heart. So I have done this and put it on toast. Only problem is that is a lot of calories.
  11. The dealer doesnt know what he is talking about. If you dont have an 8 foot box , you have a short bed and you need a slider hitch. #%£+€ salesmen anyways!
  12. No I'm not sure but it dont hurt to ask. I used to ( if I had time ) but that was me. I also had tools that the rv techs had never seen....made me wonder how they got things right.
  13. Medico.....I am a refrigeration tech. Been one since 1969. A certified journeyman refrigeration tech is fully capable of repairing any motorhome AC. When I had my business I was called out countless times by RV repair facilities to do the AC repairs on both dash air driven off the engine and the roof air ones. Suggesting to the OP that taking it to an AC repair place is not adequate is rather insulting to my profession. Rather my advice would be the other way around. DONT take an RV to an RV shop for AC repairs....take it to an HVAC shop that has a refrigeration technician on staff.
  14. I think I could be happy with any kind of tablet. We are not talking about different technology , just minor differences between manufacturers which simply takes some getting used to.
