whatsnext
Enjoy the caves while you are there. It was good to see you a couple of weeks ago. In 6 weeks your lonely feeling is going to be cured! See you at the Rally. LOL. See you at the rally. And yes, the "lonely" feeling will be long gone in October!! Jim Gell
Well, we're still in Richfield, UT waiting on Yellowstone. Haven't really ridden the bikes, most of the interesting roads turn to gravel pretty quickly. Did a few maintenance items & will install a couple of fuel filters in the morning. Did finally get a few days at a park up near Salt Lake City, so moving there on the 21st. We leave there on the 24th & head for Yellowstone. This afternoon we got a spot up by Yellowstone's West Gate for 5 days, so we're gonna unload the bikes & chase griz...  Paul & Paula  Paul and Paula,  Cathy and I are still at Island View RV Park just down the road from where you are. Give me a call at (phone number deleted after Paul called and we met up for a nice dinner in West Yellowstone) if you are up for meeting for dinner or something while you are here.  Jim Edited August 29, 2016 by Cathy & Jim Quote  2001 Volvo 770, Detroit 60 Series, Gen 2 Autoshift Passenger assist elevator to enter cab - for when we need it, or sell it? adept99
Here we are in the suburbs of Wapiti Wyoming. 32 Miles west to Yellowstone east entrance, 18 miles to Cody. 130 miles one way over the Beartooth Pass/Highway to Red Lodge Montana. Wow....what a ride. 10,947 ft elevation, well above the treeline. Great desolation. See forever. Â Closer to Wapiti, saw many buffalo, a herd of 200+ elk, silly wabbits, whistle pigs, free range cows, and lotsa horses. No bears or moosies. Â Leaving here on Tuesday morning for Teddy Roosevelt Nat'l Park in ND Badlands, then south at some point. Â Great to see Jim & Cathy at West Yellowstone. rickeieio
Paul and Paula,  I'm gonna guess you'll stay in Medora while visiting Teddy R. NP. Jim Gell
Cathy and I are at Ballard RV Park in Thompson Springs, UT, about 30 miles north of Arches NP. Nothing fancy, but more than enough room for us on site and getting into the site. If it's not in the HDT Campground Guide, I will add it. We plan to be here at least a week and visit Arches, Canyon Lands, Dead Horse Point State Park and Colorado National Monument. HERO Maker
We left the scene of the hail storm crime yesterday, and are cruising up US 169 headed for Hillsdale Lake State Park until it's time to go to the Rally. Leaving Coffeyville in the next hour. Not an early start this morning (or yesterday), but only have less than a 3 hour pull today. We had our choice of close to 20 double length pull thru spots last night! I guess nobody is headed south yet!
