WeBeFulltimers
I am considering buying a hopper to replace the VIP722 I currently have that belongs to DISH and only want it connected to my main TV in the fifth wheel. Do I still need a Solo Node if connecting to only one TV? If yes, no problem, just need to know if should purchase one. Thanks. Mark and Dale Bruss
Yes. The Solo unites the COAX cables from the dish into one cable to the Hopper Please click for Emails instead of PM Mark & DaleJoey - 2016 Bounder 33C Tige - 2006 40' Travel SupremeSparky III - 2021 Mustang Mach-e, off the the Road since 2019 Useful HDT Truck, Trailer, and Full-timing Info atwww.dmbruss.com
WeBeFulltimers
Thanks. I thought that may be the case. Is it acceptable to mount the Solo at the dish outside? Dutch_12078
I have two ports on the LNB connected to a Solo node at the dish, and the third port connected to a single coax. When we're using the Hopper, we connect the coax to the coach to the node, and when we use our VIP211K, we use the single port connection. When we want to use both receivers at the same time, we run two cables, one to each receiver.
