Jim Hicks Posted April 19, 2015 Report Share Posted April 19, 2015 Hey guys, I am in the market to buy a Rampage / TK Loader / Overbuilt or other contraption to load the Road Glide on the deck of footloose. When we carry the car or atv on the deck, the bike rides nicely on the rear of the coach, but we are going to be burning up the road on the way to Sturgis this year and I am just bringing the bike. Does anyone know where I can pick up a nice used loader? Just for something to check out is the loadall ramp not cheap but can be used on the hauler or moved to the back of a pickup. lappir Posted April 20, 2015 Report Share Posted April 20, 2015 I picked up a used loader in Florida this winter, but have yet to get it mounted. Many decisions on how to do it. The one I got is for a "Pickup" I'm pretty sure. I put it on the frame rails of the truck, tied it down and then extended it. I had another 2 inches to go before the wheels would touch the ground. I'm sure if I would have pulled the motorcycle into the loading position it would have come down, but I just used straps and didn't want to test them just yet. Hopefully next month when I am on a different surface I might try a couple different possibilities. Loading inside the box isn't an option right now. Putting in a side door was a lot more expensive than I expected, so it wasn't done when the box was shortened. It would have been way too high to use without some major modifications. Looked at them in Iowa and it was a good unit. I couldn't justify it at the time. If you are close to him and there is one left it's worth a look.
