To make a camping site reservation you MUST contact Kim at the above address.Tell her you will be with the EAST COAST HDT RALLY. (Rally registration is separate as detailed below). David Dixon and I will be posting the registration form for the Rally itself with instructions the first of January and I will announce on the forum when available. It will be necessary for me to increase the rally fee by a small amount going forward to cover costs. Kim at Deer Run provided us an event tent and a catered BBQ dinner at her expense last year but I feel it is encumbent upon us to help defray those costs. As many of you who have attended in the past know, she and her husband have spent tens of thousands of dollars on site improvements initiated to accommodate our rigs. I have already begun compiling the seminar list and I know several of you have discussed wishing to participate. If you have a topic you wish to present or would like to see presented, please contact me at ecrcarl@gmail.com and I will try to arrange based on time and schedule. This includes the ladies. Finally, since the rally has grown tremendously, I would like to solicit any volunteers who would head up or be available for several committees. I will need set up and clean up help for seminars and dinners, rig arrival and setup photography, arrival "greeters" for those that are first time attendees to help with site identification and initial set up as needed. With the number of attendees climbing every year two people just can't do it. We were over at Deer Run last week and Kim has finished 10 additional sites by the bathhouse and laundry. She has also fenced several of the sites completed last year. Also we were excited to see ten NEW attendees have already reserved. David Dixon is hard at work on the registration form so hopefully everything can be done electronically. We are also looking to incorporate PayPal as an online payment source. Plan is to open RALLY registration Jan 1 but SITE registration with Deer Run is already available. Again mention you are with the East Coast HDT Rally. It has been $25 for the past several years but it was necessary to raise because of anticipated expenses. Kim (owner of Deer Run) at her expense provided a large event tent for the meetings as well as tables and chairs. The rally will have that as an added expense this year as well as some other costs we haven't had to bear in the past. Hey cheap price to get to hang around intellectuals like GeorgiaHybrid for a week. Understand the $40 DOES NOT cover the RV site for the week. That reservation must be made with Deer Run http://www.campingcrossville.com/. Please note the East Coast Rally has NO corporate sponsorship outside of a contribution made last year by Comfort Ride hitches. We want to remain an informational and social rally and don't want it to be overrun with vendors. Hoping Mother Nature plays nice so we can make it this year.
