  1. I domicile in TX but bought my TT in AZ. I had to jump through some silly hoops to get it done, but I did buy in AZ and titled, registered and payed taxes in TX.
  2. Rainbow drive has been my domicile for the past eight years. The only time I had a problem with the mail service was when I gave them the wrong zip code to send my mail to.
  3. I also have Defenders on my truck. The Michelin inflation table shows many Michelin tires, but Defenders are not one of them. A call to Michelin was absolutely no help at all. I have Defender LTX M&S, they have LTX AT/2s but not M&S.
  4. Cisco Kid: Our worries are over, Pancho. Pancho: That’s what I worry about, Cisco. Cisco: Why Pancho: If my worries are over, I won’t have anything to worry about.
  5. Yes, it took some searching. From the Home Page click the Eduction tab, then the domicile link, then Texas, then Vehicle Registration at the bottom of the page.
  6. For the most part, yes. I was advised to fill out the forms and mail them into Polk County, along with the relevant fees and sales tax, of course. My only remaining question is that the AZ dealer says he has to have a notary escort me to the state line, apparently to assertain I left the state. However, I don’t plan on leaving AZ for a few months after the purchase. Has anyone else experienced a situation like this? Advice on how to handle this would be appreciated.
  7. I called and they referred me to the SKP website. All of the forms and instructions are there for the downloading.
  8. Well, the deal went through, should get the new trailer in November in Phoenix. Hopefully I will be able to register it in Polk County without going there. Thanks for the tips.
  9. Thanks for the info folks, now to see if the deal goes through.
  10. Is it possible to title an RV in Texas, which was purchased out of state, without going there? Any hints or tips would be appreciated. I believe I have seen a thread on this but am unable to find it. My domicile is Polk County.
  11. X2. Or is it 3, for the Aeropress. IMHO there is no comparison between Aeropress and drip or pour over.
  12. This filter from the RV Water Filter Store is bacteriostatic and it lasts us for a year: Model: RV-KDF/GAC-10" Microns: N/A Class: I Flow: 2.5 gallons/minute Life: 12-24 months Material: granular activated carbon with KDF Notes: Bacteriostatic, good for intermittent use. Scale inhibitor.
  13. We have used an under sink filter with a separate dispenser spigot mounted to the countertop next to the sink for our last two trailers and found it to be excellent. http://www.rvwaterfilterstore.com/DWStandardCanisters.htm This is the spigot and canister configuration we use. It is the third one down on the page for $74.95. http://www.rvwaterfilterstore.com/RCCarbonCartridge.htm This is the filter we use KDF-GAC the 8th one down for $29.95. It's good for 10,000 gallons and we change it once each year since we only filter the drinking water. We boondock extensively and always drink the water from our fresh water tank and seldom have taste issues with our water. We do use an inexpensive sediment filter when filling our tank.
