  1. Made the change from truck driver to bus driver...

  2. After 3 nights in the beautiful Smokies we motored non-stop to one of our favorite locations in the world -- Lake Norman, North Carolina. We arrived in time for happy hour and a tour of our new home for some of our “most fun” old friends, the Bakers and Bumgardners. The month-long party has started, and the rest of the N.C. crew will join us Saturday on the Bumgardner’s dock to solve the world’s problems. This could require a designated driver back to the rv park. 30kt cross wind on I-40 but the new bus handled the wind in style...Some trucks had problems at Black Mountain.
  3. Howdy y'all -- good to be friends...

  4. We are in Mission, TX at BPV in the land of citrus, palm trees and great Mescun food! Sí, Hablo Ingles Temp was 80 degrees Yesterday.
  5. Larry, Wayland at 2L in Poolville has an air hitch that is in perfect shape... He removed it from my Ram 550 when I up graded... It will go at a very reasonable price. Tell him Gary told you about it.

  6. Heading north on I-35, will be at the Treetops in Arlington @ 2:30... Staying there until May 5 and then it's north again to Junction City, KS to deal with warranty issues...
  7. We finally departed Junction City Sunday morning with our NEW, New Horizons Majestic following us south. Made the mandatory stop at the Windstar Casino in Thackerville, OK. The price is right, “free,” so we decided to sstay two nights and see how far $20.00 will last. I’m sure we will win enough for a life changing experience.
  8. Chilling at the Marriott Court Yard in Junction city until the Majestic is finished... The Cameo is now headed west and the new owners are completely satisfied -- that's as good as it gets... The Majestic was looking pretty good as of last Thursday when it left for Forest City, Iowa for full body painting. The company is called CDI and it's supposed to perform superior work with 4 coats of clear. Because of the change in the painting process ours has been delayed until the 11th for delivery. It should return to JC by this Friday. We can at least hang around and watch the progress next week. I've been told they don't need my help to finish it. Dang, I want to get in on the action... The following week if we get a couple of days with above freezing weather I'll be heading SOUTH. When we get to Mission, Jack M has agreed to perform the "Special" Ambassador Inspection...
  9. Still planning on being there in March if everything goes as planned. Will head to Junction City the 8th of January... Updates as things progress... Update #1 ... Now the NH should be finished Feb 10. Must deliver the Cameo to Junction City Jan 25. It's a good thing I have lots of Marriott points... . Not sure where we will go for warmer weather...
  10. Now at the Treetops in Arlington, TX..... We will be here until until January or when the Carriage Cameo sells whichever occurs first... I just lowered the price... Someone will get a real deal! Check the RVs, Tows, and Toads for Sale in the RV Marketplace.
  11. Day one of three, camping on the Mississippi river at Tom Sawyer rv park. Leaving Friday and heading down to Gulf Shores until Oct 31 then back to the 'TreeTops' in Arlington, TX.
  12. Arrived at the Cross Country Campground located on Lake Norman in North Carolina. Will be here until Sep 12 when we head up to Millersburg, IN. After that we visit friends work camping at Adventure Land in Iowa. We then head south and tour the New Horizons factory in KS. It's time now to head to the HDT rally for some good times...
  13. Just landed in West Memphis, TN and the Tom Sawyer RV Park is one of the better parks we've been to... Our rear window is 30 feet from the Mississippi River. Full length concrete parking pad in a spot 100' long. Temp is 90 Degrees with overcast sky's..
