RV cover? Your thoughts, pls

We live in Oregon's "banana belt" - about 26" of annual precipitation - some sun and some nasty winds in the winter. We are researching covers for our 30' Arctic Fox 5th wheel. The rig will be in place for about five months while we recover from surgery. We want to preserve the finish and have already noticed some trim piece deterioration due to UVs.

I've looked at PermaPro, ADCO, and Calmark (too expensive) and read reviews that rave about the product or moan about it. What are your experiences? Thank you and happy holidays to all.

Hi,

We have a 27' TT with a custom made ADCO cover. Our first cover was a general cover that would fit a variety of sizes. We spent the extra money for a custom fit one and contrary to other comments when we tighten the straps they prevent the wind from blowing up under the cover and causing flapping. A custom fit cover is a bit more time consuming to put on and take off but it works extremely well for us. Good luck with your choice.

A GOOD quality cover, custom fit with enough strapping etc to keep it tight, made out of a fabric that will breathe and not trap moisture will keep UV off the unit and delay that part of the wear and tear.

But they are expensive.

A CHEAP cover will wear out quickly and will chafe the you know what out of your unit and do more bad than good.
