Jim Gell Posted June 28, 2015 Report Share Posted June 28, 2015 My first choice would be Croton Point Park , a Westchester County park in NY on the Hudson River. It is near a Metro North station. Popular, so you will want reservations. My second choice would be Liberty Park, NJ - I understand it is more of a parking lot than a campground, but probably more convenient into the city. My first ever travels up this direction and boy you learn to hold your breath a lot on the highways around here. WOW, tunnels , bridges low hanging tree branches. Now back to the thread topic.
