Oil in Generator coolant

Recommended Posts

Drain, flush and refill cooling system. I wouldn't hope none got in the circulating system. Just do it and be on the safe side.

There are cooling system flushing products that will remove the oil after draining the system. A few drops of oil doesn't do any harm, but lots of oil (1/2qt) will coat the engine block passages and radiator passages, and reduce heat transfer (cooling) some.

seems like that might be an overflow tank thus not contaminated anything important yet.

I would work on adding more water and maybe dawn and water and float as much out as possible.

Then I would probably just siphon dry and refill with coolant.
