  1. Just drove home to AK this year, late April. Good weather and a easy drive . However, at the Border we waited 5 hours to cross and the Boarder Agents were very fussy and forcing ALL RVer's to book their hotel or motel lodging along the Route to Alaska, specifically stating Canada Law is not allowing any overnight Camping, albeit once we crossed the Border it didn't appear the no overnight camping law was not being fully enforced by the local communities. Hopefully 2022 will be better.
  2. Thank you all for the kind words. We’re heart broken that our truck is gone 😪 but we’re hoping to return to the life style with “Nanook ver 2.0”. Maybe someday.
  3. Sadly we have SOLD our 2017 Volvo 780 w/Trailer. We love our rig and will miss our travelling but will have great memories of our first HDT and the friends we have gained during journey. it's a very sad day for us but family (Granson's) comes first and has priority. We'll keep watching the forum and who knows maybe will be back in 8 or 10 years with an all electric HDT. 😉
  4. Hey where is the WCR folks, I guess I'm late as usual Spending the night at the Ambassador RV Resort. After 6 days from Fairbanks to Las Vegas. Now heading to Oregon to retrieve a few stored items then heading back to Fairbanks with a cargo trailer. Larry&Donna
  5. Arrived home, Faibanks, this afternoon. 4 days across Canada. For those of you traveling to Alaska this summer. Be prepared for a roller coaster ride from Whitehorse to 50 miles inside of Alaska, frost heaves. The speed limit is 90Km for this final leg of Canada. Driving my HDT w/Trailer I had to drive significantly slower most of the time. Larry&Donna
  6. Last night we boondocked just past Muncho Lake, past Northern Rockies Lodge, approximately mile 470. Large turnout along side the road. All lakes are still frozen with patches of snow along side the road. However, the road is clear and dry and you can easily drive the speed limit. Watch out before the Summit there are a couple of steep downgrades, 10% & 9%. This trip, we've seen 50 Bison, 4 Black Bear, and 6 Deer. Tonight we are in Whitehorse.
  7. Dangx2, just read your post. Stopped for fuel at the Flying J Cardlock and kept driving.
  8. Arrived Whitecourt, Alberta for the night. Continuing our trek North early tomorrow. Darn we missed seeing the Nenana, AK Ice Classic. The Tripod tipped over at noon today.
  9. Arrived in Helena, MT today. Taking a break Sunday. Monday we're starting our trek home to Fairbanks.
  10. Enjoying "Aviation Nation" weekend at Nellis AFB Nevada.
  11. Arrived Las Vegas NV for the winter today. A long 2 day drive with strong headwinds for most of the trip. 1st night we Boondocked at the truck stop (good fuel price) across from Double Eagle Casino NM, we were to big for the small RV Park. Tried the Casino Slots for a little diversion, we lost then won breaking even.
  12. I'd love to share my story, just have to take a BP pill first.
  13. Than goodness I had the AliArc, the Deer impacted dead center of the lower of the radiator. Zero damage, except a bent license plate.
  14. Today is our 8th day of warranty work at Mobile Suites, we'll be happy to move back into Michigan tomorrow.
