Tombstone & History HOP - March 15, 2015

Recommended Posts

There are still a few seats left for this HOP.

After a fun and eventful Escapade, take a relaxing HOP. Let us do the driving; sit back, relax, and enjoy!

Board a luxury motor coach with a local tour guide and enjoy the beautiful view of the mountains, mesas, deserts, and learn about Tombstone’s rich Western heritage.

Images of gunfights, miners, saloons, ladies of the night, Wyatt Earp, Doc Holliday, and the famous shoot-out at the O.K. Corral are the first thoughts in your mind when you hear about Tombstone, once a booming mining town, now one of the last frontier towns.

HOPs are fun and enjoyable when you gather with fellow SKP friends.

On this all day excursion, you will enjoy:

  • Mescal tour, an old West town, built as a movie set where many Western movies were shot such as Quick and the Dead, Monte Walsh, The life and Times of Judge Roy Bean, and many more!
  • The famous “shoot-out” at the O.K. Corral
  • The Birdcage Theater Museum, one of Tombstone's famous national landmarks. Legend has it that 26 people were killed in the Bird Cage during the Wild West days.
  • The most historic Western graveyard, Boothill Graveyard, where several legendary folks were buried.
  • Driver and motor coach transportation to all events
  • A local, fun, and knowledgeable tour guide
  • All tours, sites, and entry fees included.
  • Souvenir HOP lanyards
  • Your name badge
  • Your HOP hosts
  • All gratuities
  • And much more.

There will be a considerable amount of walking; please bring comfortable walking shoes, binoculars, a hat, sunscreen, and a camera for those breathtaking photo ops.

Lots of other stuff to do in the area after the HOP too.

Ft. Huachuca is interesting, only a few miles down a pretty back country road (Charleston Rd.) and across the town of Sierra Vista and has a couple good museums, one for the original buffalo soldier units and one for the Intelligence Center.

Just down the road is Bisbee, a historical mining town with lots of interesting stuff.

Down I-10 going east from Benson in Douglas you can get information on the Circle of Cochise and do a driving tour of a lot of sites from western frontier history.

Sell a customer a Windows computer and you'll eat for a lifetime.
