Chris-n-Dennis
Due to an unexpected cancellation we have picked up a gig at the visitor center at Champoeg (pronounced Shampooee) for the month of July. Just off I-5 about 20 miles south of Portland so If you are in the area, please do stop by. And no, we have no idea about the place, we'll post info when we learn it. This was a "oh what the heck, they need help" type gig so the only thing we know is its near lots of vineyards. Al F
Lots of great Oregon history at Champoeg, should be a fun place to be. We have stayed there several times in the last 4 years with family. The camp host duties did not seem to be as nice as some other (non Oregon) state parks. One of the duties at Champoeg seems to be driving a cart around selling fire wood in the evening or delivering the firewood to campsites when campers request it in the evening. The firewood duty is only during specific hours, not all day long.
