    • With a Multiplus inverter charger installed in a “whole house” setup it is simple.  By whole house set up, I mean the inverter powers all circuits in the RV.  Simply set the Multiplus to Charger Only instead of On when you are plugged into shore power (30 amp or 50 amp pedestals) where power assist isn’t needed.  Charger Only will pass the shore power through and keep the batteries charged, but it won’t invert if the shore power goes away.  This way, you will know the power at the pedestal was lost and you can take the appropriate action.  In other words turn the inverter on and manage loads accordingly until shore power is restored.
    • Check out Juniper Ridge in Show Low, AZ    It would be much cooler that the 'valley' of AZ in the summer.  You could see some snow in winter though but not like Flagstaff.   Activities, pool and many Park Models. https://juniperridgeresort.com/ Another park in the area: We have former full-time friends who bought here & they love it... low key; not glitzy: https://kbarrvresort.com/ https://www.realty.com/home-listings/352046585/1664-Ponderosa-Lane-Lakeside-AZ-85929 https://www.woodfieldrv.com/
    • I recently resolved an issue with my brakes from HDT to trailer.  I had posted here for some info on the Smart Brake controller as it appeared that it was no longer working but my troubleshooting endeavers were often interrupted(and I never did find much troubleshooting info for that controller) and so never really got to start with the basics. That being said I enlisted some help and quickly discovered that there was no output to my brake wire at the receptacle on the back of my Volvo.  Did more checking(keeping in mind that the KISS principle needed to be fully engaged) and this was after replacing the Smart Brake with a DirecLink(BTW-I REALLY like the 3 different brakes control conditions available) and still no output to the pesky BLUE wire but all was good in the Jackalopee.  More troubleshooting and lo and behold the 7 conductor cable from the Jackalopee to the receptacle had a break somewhere in the BLUE wire.  After inspection could not find any where that the cable may have been damaged, so abandoned that wire and ran a new wire outside the cable and VOILA-brakes! It was such a nice change to have those working and controlling my 42' NH 5er. Sometimes it really is just the small things, like a broken wire or READING the instructions that are necessary.
    • His red wire is on his icc markers instead of his break lights. If his direct link is also using red as his brake light sensor the 2 reds should be together. His black is on 12v (should be on icc marker)and I am guessing the black 4wire is supposed to be power for the direct link. What a mess!
    • Saturday evening, final touches primarily wiring and air connection done, customer hitching up the daily driver he used to come down (from Orlando) and drive off his "possession". Prior to this I conducted about 5 minutes session how to appreciate an ET and what it does and countermand some bad advice from the "dumpers" crowd which managed to make its way to the YouTube channel as a new ET hitching up gospel. I video taped it on my iPhone and intend to publish my own gospel. The reason for the Saturday night rush to finish was the plans he had for Sunday morning. Here's the picture that arrived to my phone Sunday morning.   He intends to have some fun throughout the summer in this form factor and bring the truck back around August for the bed design and build. It will be similar to this one. We've already discussed the changes to the design to add few custom "goodies".
