We were up close and personal to last year's fest and it was very good -- just don't expect an Albuquerque Balloon Festival. Lake Havasu's fest is a much smaller scale. However, LHC is a much better location for a balloon fest.The "Site 6" campgrounds are a great location because you're a mile from London Bridge, but it's dry camping -- see Good Sam RV Dry Camping. There is a shuttle service running to the festival grounds that is free and much more relaxed. Has anyone stayed at the Marina RV or the Good Sam RV campgrounds (both dry camping) that is advertised on the official balloon festival site? We would appreciate any tips or advice anyone who's been there for the event has to offer. I just love the pictures I see with the sky filled with colorful balloons!
