  1. El Paso or Laredo in Texas, there are lots of large trucks crossing every day.
  2. One has to research on how you earn your in income. CO has a state income tax and Texas does not. As seniors we are much less of consumers then when we where younger. Therefore, sales tax means less to us. Our income comes from SS and an IRA. I could not imagine our $124,800 annual income being subject to a 9% state income tax! Real estate taxes in Texas have a good homestead exemption and school taxes, by far the biggest of our real estate taxes, are caped at your 65th birthday. Its Texas for us! Florida also has no state income tax and generous exemptions for seniors but the cost of real estate is very high when compared to Texas.
  3. I have given up on South Florida RV spots due to price. I looked for monthly rates during winter below West Palm Beach. I have seen them as high as $3,000 per month and there are many at $2,000 per month. When I respond that the price is to high for me I am told that is the current market. Good Luck
  4. I have never had better healthcare insurance they my current Kelsey Seybold Advantage plan. It is much better then what I played $930 per month seven years ago before I retired. That was with United Healthcare. I was the CEO for a company with 700 employees and I was responsible for their healthcare insurance. United Healthcare was so bad the I got rid of them and self funded our plan for $230 less per month per employee. My Advantage plan covers us for emergency care in the entire US and most of the rest of the world.
  5. Most of the people I know speak poorly of electric vehicles but my son-in-law, a long time Exxon Chemical Engineer, and a Texas Aggie told me that electric vehicles are recharged at a rate which is the equivalent of 125 miles for the price a one gallon of gas! They can tow RVs and we will be going in that direction in the future. GM and Ford have indicated that the will stop production of gas powered vehicles in 2035.
  6. I am a member of all of those RV Clubs noted above. I have never been to one of those large rallies sponsored by those RV Clubs because I don't want to go where they are held. They are not on my bucket list. I attend the Texas Forest River FROG Rally in Kerrville, TX, the past 8 years. We are limited to 70 sites by Buckhorn Lake Resort and the Rally fee is $100.
  7. With you tow vehicle it needs to be very small,
  8. I wouldn't want to drive my 13 feet 6 inch fifth wheel under an over pass that is 13 ft 6 inches.
  9. I don't let the dealer find auto loans for me until I have found the best rate that I can find then go to dealer for the best they can. I don't let them know what rate I have until they give me their best rate. I once told them that I can beat their rate and they gave me a lower rate then I could get.
  10. Get a motor home to drive and a trailer to park is what I was told.
  11. I have a 16,500 fifth wheel and tow it with an F350, crew cab, long bed, diesel, SRW and don't use air bags and it rides level.
